Because I have two sets of hammers.
Or was it wrenches?
Well, either way I have two of that one group of items and I am baffled. xD;;

Yes you get a set of tools for every 12 currencies you donate.

You're an engineer so yes. When you go HQ and click on (I believe it's Repair) it takes away the gears.
