My husband's interested in pirates, like the original 16th and 17th century caribbean pirates and such. Bought a whole bunch of books on the subject and can now tell you lots about them and their ways of life.

Me too... I have a whole shelf of my bookshelf dedicated to it... I'm a history major.

There are ads up for Red Dead Redemption at my bus stops. Looks ghastly, I confess.

I just wish that zeppelins and sky-ships hadn't gotten replaced so early. They were so cool.

I love steampunk stuff, zeppelins included. I'm currently working on a paper about Kiki's Delivery Service, which has Miyazaki's usual Europe/Japan/steampunk melange for the city.
