That's good! ^^ I still like the color that I get, but I can hear when it's "thinking." And it's 4 years old now. So in computer years, it's old!

Four years is quite respectable for a computer, I agree!!
Everything in my school is run on Macs, pretty much (except, for some reason, the library computers), and I only know a few people with windows laptops or desktops.

I had a laptop before my mac--thought it had died for good, but the person I sold it to (my ex) still uses it! The sound card is gone, but otherwise it works pretty well for him.

@Urbeth: That's kind of sad. :( What's wrong with Apple products to the people at your school? Too trendy?

Hopefully I'll be able to afford new PC parts or a new complete PC all together.
But to go that far, I need more commissions or anything that creates income!
Anyone wanna buy some old games and stuff? XD
I've got a practically unused copy of Kingdom Hearts II and the giant strategy guide that I can part with, totally sell it 'em together for $50.

Most computers are built to only last about 4 years.
So I'd probably get the hardware checked out and make sure it's all still in tippy top shape.

Windows doesn't have a lot of affordable good music or video software. That's one niche Apple is better at.

Yes, well, they are all hardcore programmers so they have to build their own computers. Some do own Apple products but get an earful if they do.
And with programming some of the programs that we use can't be used on an apple.

I should, but I don't have the money. And it is the apple iMac, so opening it up is kind of tricky. ^^;

I'd much rather spend more on that audio/video software for Windows than the cheaper alternatives for Mac OSX.

Yeah, Windows does have the niche on the really high end audio/video editing stuff.

Plus most of those programs you can torrent.

ipads are dumb.
I love my ipod, and I'd like an ipod touch, but seriously, if you're going to get an ipad, just get a freakin' tablet computer and an ipod touch.
they'll end up costing about the same.

:( *is using a mac right now*
If you use ProTools, I believe you have to have a keychain bobble or something with a special code in order to make it work, so torrents might not be an option.
