My craptop's acting up and only loading just a few websites and even then, really slowly.....I think it's gonna die or something.

Yume - That could be more internet then craptop. Try resetting your router.. Or it might be you ISP. In other words your sol for the time being.

I kinda hope it does die. Then I can get one that is cool enough to play Starcraft 2. ....but then again, I can't afford a new one right now. It's a double-edge sword, I suppose. xD

If you want to play things like starcraft II, you are really better off getting a desk top. So you know. Actually it's never a good idea to buy a laptop unless you travel a lot... Computer guru word to the wise. :yumeh1:

Yikes that is a ton of gold, I was wondering if you might have a Yumeh set Yumiko and maybe Overlord Wrath. If you did I would buy them from you.

Soda - I know it probably is, but the craptop has issues too. When I tell it to shut down, it shuts down half way, then turns back on and then half off and on once an hour until it dies. If it's plugged in, it does it until I come back to it. -_- Hibernate makes it shut down, but it says it was impoper and then sleep makes it go into dead mode.....it won't wake back up unless I hold down the power button and kill it, then restart it. *sigh* It's like.....5 years old, so it's gonna die soon, I bet.

As for the internet settings and such, I did restart my computer and it did the same thing, so I just left it alone and let it do whatever. I don't touch the settings with anything or try to fix anything router related here since it's not mine to touch. At my parents' house, I'll mess with it all I want until I run out of ideas or it works again, but not here. I don't want my fiancee's dad to bury me alive. xD

It started working again anyways.......no clue why.

Yum - 5 years is definitely the limit. On average laptops are replaced every 3 years. You probably either have malicious software or you have errors in your registry. On the flip side it's not useless... The laptop. You could all ways clean it out totally and re install the OS appropriate for it's age and it would pure like a kitten. If money is that much of an issue.

It was probably your parents ISP(Internet service provider) then.

Yue - I don't have any of those. Going to be going after them after the fan, probably. I really like the Overlord one. ^_^

Soda - Between me and my fiancee, we have 4 desktops and 2 laptops. For us, laptops are better because of school. I can take mine there and I can type up notes while the teacher's talking and I can get my homework done in between classes. He's a visual effect's major and does a lot of computerized graphics, so having his nice laptop that can support all Adobe products and 3Ds Max and whatever else he's using now is much better for him. That way he's not tied down to a desktop when we have to go somewhere last minute and he has a big project.

My two desktops are crap. xD One of his needs a power supply and a few other parts I can't remember. His main computer is his desktop, which he built himself. It's a really nice computer and I refuse to touch it unless he's watching because I don't want to be blamed if it blows up or something. ^_^ Not that it would blow up, but I do have a special touch with electronics, so the impossible might become possible. xD

Both our laptops currently have Windows 7 on them, mine being the home version and his the professional one. We're going to wipe this clean and put back what needs to be on here later when we can afford to get an external hard drive to store the information while we do that. This laptop was a business laptop that my parents handed me after they sold the business 2 years ago, so it's got a lot of crap on it, probably. I deleted a lot of it, but it still acts like it's full. The problem with Starcraft is the video card, if I remember right. I'm not too worried about that. If I want to play it, I steal my love's laptop when he's not attached to it. xD I have Perfect World on here, so I'm entertained for now. ^_^

That is cool Soda, I know a bit too, and would be willing to help you Yumiko. I would say get a registry cleaner and a really good virus can program. I would suggest malwarebytes, it is really good and free.

We did the virus thing not long ago. The school's network gave me a horrible one, so we wiped out all those. I think I'm good on that now. My fiancee's saying that it's a hardware problem and we'll probably save up to get me a new one in the next year if we can find jobs.
