Sweet Daddy! Yeah... mine was spur of the moment last minute decision. my mom wouldn't have let me either, but sine i'm 18... there's not much she can do about it. it hurts a little right now when/if i flare my nostrils, but it's like... dull pain like a bruise.

Yeahh I want to once I turn 18 as well as my stomach. Bit I know my parents are paying for my tattoo so I'm gonna butter them up when that happens :)

Ahh.. I also grew up with Windows! But then when I have used Linux for several months I get used to that, then when I got back to Windows on another computer I started to get frustrated once more, and was then confused for a short time!

thanks! ^^ emerald is my birthstone so i chose from the 3 green ones the tattoo guy had, and then got 2nd nd 3rd opinions from my friends and we all agreed on the same one haha.

Alorrena ;; Hmm.. the phone analogy seems somewhat accurate, except for one thing. I still use a phone with buttons and without touch screen, but I haven't had problems with that; however, I had so many issues with Windows staring up slowly and after logging on the system could use over 7 to 10 minutes to load completely! Not to mention all the viruses and worms and other malware that can hit a Windows system but have almost no effect on a Linux system. Sometimes antivirus and firewall software miss a big piece of malware and the system crashes! Something like that almost never happens with Linux, though =]

wow. that's crazy. and yeah, i know what you mean. windows can be really slow. i have 7 right now and i can tell a huge difference from XP. so i'd imagine linux would be nice.

Have you measured how much time to boot the system, and how much time after log-on to fully load all processes of the system?
With Linux that I have right now, it's at most 2 minutes to boot, and less than 30 seconds after logon to fully load processes. Good night, Renasan ^_^ |
not yet. it's on my netbook so it's fast. windows 7 usually takes like a minute to boot up and like 45 seconds to get going after login.
