I've noticed that a few people have this thing that says 'send a message via Skype'... What's Skype..?

Skype is a program, like MSN instant messenger or any other messenger program you may or may not have on your computer. Skype... (and it should only show up if it's been loaded in your programs menu) actually does that AND allows you to make PC to PC calls (known as Voice Over IP of VOIP) for free. You can also call people's phones for a small fee. AND international calls are super cheap that way.
