I know for a fact that no one resorts to drugs if nothing is lacking from their life. I would try my hardest to get him to quit...

Well, I kind of know how it is. I never got seriously addicted to anything, but I have alcoholism in my genes. I often feel so tempted to snuggle a bottle and let it numb my emotions.
