Yeah...I took one of those 'INTERESTED IN JOINING THE ARMY???' booklets the other day, and it has all the necessary qualifications listed on the first page...glanced at it and one of them said something along the lines of 'you cannot join the army if you have multiple citizenship'...which I have. ".....FUUUUU- :gonk:"

Yeah, it sucks. I don't know what kind of limitations they have where you live, but here it's like that...bleh. :\
What kind of test would you need to pass? :o

Dan: Oh, I see. well, I know people that are
or have been in the army and I'm like, o.0 how the heck
did they make it. So, maybe It's "easier" here or something
I don't know. I've talked to my dad about it but things have changed

Military service is currently mandatory here for men, though if they have defects or other problems and stuff they may not be able to join. (bad eyesight, too heavy/thin weight, too tall, too short, etc. etc...)

I think it's like that in South Korea too. For 2 years. I'd still talk to someone though, sometimes you can get waivers for certain things. Here at least! Though, they are getting more strict now.

Ikuto: Yeah, I was thinking Army, Air Force, or Marine Corps....But the army might be the only one might be able to join.
Dan: oh wow @ [email protected]
also, I'm worried they might not let me join any because I have glasses and suicidal depression and panic attacks U.U

Yeah, I'd say try to join the Air Force too. :ninja: Army would still be good though~
Plenty of people have glasses... It's not that horrible of a handicap. :XD
Suicidal depression and panic attacks are something I'd try to ... handle as best you can... (that's gotten plenty of people kicked out, some on purpose!)
If you seriously... seriously have them.

I do....I just hope I can keep them under control.
I've gotten a little better at keeping them under control thus far, so :/
I don't know, like I told Dan, I'm scared, I'm also a little excited....is that weird ?
I just know that I need to make a life for myself and right now, I have no life at all.
I'm stuck at home, all the time. Looking for work and not getting anywhere with it.

Unless you're diagnosed with them it's not really something I'd bring up. > x>;; But I mean... I also don't understand those things.
And no that's not weird at all. That's actually perfectly normal. Because there's the fear of kind of stepping into the unknown, having your life completely changed (and pretty quickly), but also the hope of something better. c:
Aww~ Well I always support joining the military. It's a good way to kind of... get on your feet, you know~

Indeed it is. and yeah, I am diagnosed with them >.<'' but, I have meds
But yeah it does happen really quick too @ [email protected] on the bright side, if...when I make it through basic training
I'll be able to go to school too and the army really takes care of you. From what I've seen and heard.

Ah. Well, nothing to do but go talk to them and find out~! :D
Lawl, that's what they say for the Air Force as well. Generally I think they're similar in that they have the good and bad jobs/bosses/etc... Just like anything else pretty much.

Ah. Lawl, yeah for the ASVAB, depending upon how well you do basically limits/broadens what you can do and which branches you can join. It's just a general knowledge test really... > A>; But as Hum said, you can study for it.
-pat- Mmm... just remember that it's not guaranteed you won't go and that you can be sent places you don't want to go. But you have to make the best out of it.
I wish you luck though! > w<

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken it is a general knowledge test. and I don't mind re-locating, in fact, I'd love it XD
but the whole killing and stuff of war...not sure I could handle it, but you never know :/ And thank you Ikuto :3 *huggles*
So, how are you, Ikuto ?
Lady: that's good to hear hun :3
and yeah it is, Fort Brag is an army base near where I live.

my dad was stationed at fort bragg, eighty-second airborne division.
air force is the best deployment and billiting as far as i am concerned.
the navy has good points and bad, being station aboard a ship keeps you sort of out of harms way to an extent,
you get to see a lot more of the world but you are also gone a lot more as well.
the marines have the 'take the point' attitude and are usually first in but have a really admirable 'sempri fi' comradre about them.
the army has manuvers and is seen as the easiest to join.
when i took my ASVABS a guy trying to get into the army couldn't even read
O.o
he asked the proctor to read him the questions and he could answer them.
he was mortified and sent him directly to his recruiter!
on a good note it really broke the tention i was feeling.....at least i was literate <3.
keep an open mind and do some research before you decide on a branch.

Thanks Hum, I've been thinking about it for a wail now.
But keeping an open mind is a really good idea, thanks :3
and wow, that would ease me some too. So, not to be nosy or anything
but, you said you took the ASVAB, are you in the air force or anything ?
Also to everyone, I really love y'all.
Y'all are actually really helping me ♥

yes i was in the air force, father in the army, cousin in the marine corps
*we all tried to talk him out of joining*
friends in the navy and so i have a pretty good view of all branches.
i always suggest the air force because it it more family oriented.
like the dorms are more like small apartments *in most bases*,
some of the billets in the marines are on the older styles *more people to a room*,
army bases i have been to leave a lot to be desired.
but this is all in my opinion only.
you need to fit in the place that is best for you.
like each branch has great schooling opportunities.
what are you interested in as a job?

I really don't have any talents U.U'' so....yeah. Man, I suck :gonk:
