I'm kinda here - got a bit of a fussy sick baby on my hands (currently asleep but who knows what her schedule will be like today so I'm prone to disappearing randomly). :XD How're you?

I am awake. *nods* Need to eat breakfast soon. Woo. Also kinda...blank in the head. It isn't normal for me to not have anything I am thinking about, but I just posted a blog, so there is no noise in my head for the time being.

That's good that you're awake at least, and I'm a bit zoned out as well - had a bit of a rough night, and I'm actually sad that we're not going to be able to go out tonight (I can't risk Rebecca getting sicker.) :( But yay for no noise in your head! :D

Ehhh. People I know want me to breed because according to them I am "beautiful," and "awesome." But I see nothing but cons when I think of it. It is a very grown up decision to make, and I am so not ready for that.

Rhumb: Exactly, it's not up to others if you want kids or not, that is something for you (and the person you're with) to decide. And it definitely is a huge decision!

I know that my mother was hoping for grand kids sooner than this, but by Christmas she'll be the grandmum of two. ^_^ As my brother's wife is expecting their first - I think her due date is the 15th of December?

You're right, it isn't, but the pressure is there and I hate it. I am crazy about the guy I am with now, but I doubt he and I will ever have kids. I don't think it has ever crossed his mind because I am his first girlfriend. Prior to this, he has only ever been with other men. But the word is out now that I am with someone, and my family thinks I am getting old, so it is time to settle down and have a family and a "proper" life.

It isn't right for them to pressure you into something that you're just not ready for (if ever)! -hugs- And there is nothing wrong with not wanting kids, some people just don't want them at all. :hug:

You should have children if you want to. Not if others do. If you feel like you're not ready to make a big decision like that, then I say you shouldn't. You don't have to decide if you want kids right now. Even if you get 'old', you can still have kids. Just adopt them or have someone else have a baby for you. It isn't right for them to pressure you like that. Again, its your decision, not theirs.
