Gage stood on the tips of toes trying to get the book out from the bookshelf. It was wedged tightly between other books that probably hadn't been touched in ages and cemented in by neglect and dust. With a huff, he gripped the tip of the spine and yanked hard, shaking the book left and right to try and get it free. All his efforts paid off when the book loosened and he fell to the floor. The abuse and dust cement must have been strong, however, because the book he was trying to get wasn't the only to come out and soon he was piled under a mass of heavy books with hard covers.
"Guess they were lonely.... I hope no one saw."
