My co-worker's gonna have her baby soon. Like, some time this afternoon or something. Her birthing pains have already begun and I'm slightly freaked out right now because I have no idea what to do in a situation like this. xD;;;;

Everyone who's heard has been telling her that she should've just taken the day off to rest and stuff, but she's got way too much stuff left at work that she hasn't managed to pass on to the temporaries to take over her place while she's away having her baby yet. ^^;; Her given birthing date had been on November the 2nd, but it seems that her baby's very eager to say hello to the world so...

I've been in college since last August haha

She's very free to leave any time, we all know about her condition after all and we've all been telling her to take it easy and stuff, but she still comes. xDDD;; She's still in the process of handing her work over to others (since none of us know what's going on with her side of her work after all), and she had originally estimated that she'd still have a week to hand her work over, but the baby's popping out too soon so there's still a lot of stuff she hasn't been able to fully tell the others yet.

She's going to leave soon though, she's just handed me her leave form for a week. (she'll be handing in another one after that, for the actual birthing break, which should last for about two months)

Oh I see! I thought your employers were like chaining her there, which I thought was a little extreme haha. Maternity leave here usually lasts about 9 months to a year :o

I guess it depends on the job really. Doctors and teachers get less time I think, but most jobs are 9 months to a year :)

Oh wow. I need to move overseas. xDD (not that I'd ever get a maternity leave, but still >.>)
