Yea, no that's pretty much right.
|
Dan, awww i wonder if that's what happened to wally, i had a cardboard box in their cage and they sure ate on it. i've read cardboard is ok for them though. i dunno. just made me upset finding him like that. i wish i could have told him good bye. :(
|
figured...
Hopefully she's still not like that. Nightmare: hey dan! What did you feed your piggy before he passed? did you give it any treats that you thought he could eat or something like that? My mom said that sometimes people give piggies or other rodents treats that aren't good for them unknowingly, and their body reacts funny to them and they...well, pass on or get really sick. |

The ones in other pet shops were all more expensive. Like, almost-or-actually-double-the price more expensive. :stare: Quote:

I don't give them any treats other than fresh vegetables...and that wouldn't explain why one of them died and the other was fine. :( |
Hmm...I wonder if maybe he wasn't to healthy to beguine with? I'm not sure.
Maybe he had some sort of disease that piggies get or something. Who knows. As long as little Squeaky is okay and not getting what Munchkins got, I think it's okay. Though, if you're not using thos seader chips they sell for piggies, you should use them instead of newpaper. Just line the bottom with it and put the seader chips ontop. It might keep the wittle thing from getting sick if the newpaper was teh cause. xDDD damn ted! Your finger gets hurt a lot, doesn't it? Protect yo fingers! Speaking of finger wounds, I tend to chew on the skin on my fingers sometimes, and I get hangnails that hurt like hell. Or, i bite my nails until I get it to the point where it hurts to much. ;; |
It was the more energetic of the two, and my parents picked that one because it was more lively and being more lively is supposed to mean more healthy or something. >_>;; |
(Okay, I just remembered that my spell check on this computer doesn't work. SO, I am SOOOOO sorry for any spelling mistakes. My red squiggly line friend isn't wanting to help me correct my mistakes. ;w; )
I've probably done som damage to my teeth, and to add to that, I'm not the best with taking care of my teeth...I DO brush my teeth at least once a day, though. If you use the seader chips for piggies, you just have to dump the chips out once a week or so and maybe rince out the cage if it's really bad. Sorry. Yeah, I think it's supposed ot be that way. Like I said, who knows. Lets just pray that little Nibbler lives a full piggy life (I read they can live for five to eight years! :'D) . Ohh...I remember how my piggy used to squeal with joy when he heard plastic bags rustling. I really miss the little guy. I wish we didn't have so many cats...I'd totally get my mom to get me a ne wpiggy. ;w; |
lol I don't mind. :XD As far as I know, Firefox's spell check works best for me, I'm not sure if Chrome has it or not... |
I'm using firefox and i have spellcheck on, but it just doesn't seem like it's working for me...
I still feel a little bad when I misspell every other word. I know my spelling and grammar is terrible, but I try to make it so people understand me. I try to remember to brush my teeth before I go tout, if I haven't already brushed them in the morning/afternoon. True...The newspaper meathod is a actually pretty good, though. Seems pretty easy. :'D ohh. >.o I would put it down if it was having that many problems. Sometimes it's best to let them go when they're doing that badly... Oh, I love them too, but they are DEMONS! EVIL, EVIIIL DEMONS! Mine have destroyed my house and since we can't affored to get them fix atm, some of the females can get pregnant. SO we have to keep them inside, but we've recently had a security breach. Our outside cats have managed to find a way inside of the vents from under the house and can come through there. SO we have to put weights down on them and/or cover them with cardboard. OTL So a few of the girls that are in heat have gotten out. We have them back in, but we think one of them may be pregnant...:headdesk: We really need to find homes for most of them. We'd take them to the humane society or the pound, but they are always full, and the Humanes society tells us we're supposed to get them checked out and make sure all their shots are up to date. That's just fucking bullshit. I know every other humane socity doesn't have that shitty rule. A lot of people take them there because they can't affored to take care of their animals, let alone get them a bunch of shots that could cost them a lot of money. It just seems like it's never going to end with problems and with the cat population... |
Huh, that's weird. :| *pokes Momo's Firefox* |
Yeah. Cats multiply fast, especially when you have male and female cats. It's best to either get one that's already fixed, or get them fixed as soon as possible! Doubt you want to have millions of cats running around.
We run out of paper a lot (due to the cats using them), so out neighbors give us their old newspapers and plastic bags. it really helps us keep the house clean. yeah...it's odd. I'm on my emac now, so I have spell check now! \o/ |
Definitely wouldn't, no matter how cute they are. |
Mhhhhm.
yess! :squee: |
Your avatar looks like s he just gauged out her own eyes and looked happy about it. XD;; |
dan, is your piggy walking on the wire bottom?? they never walk on the wire bottom, because they can get bumblefoot which can be deadly. in my cage i have towels then fleece. I think Wally had to have been sick or might have gotten scurvy. I haven't been feeding them veggies like i was. :(
this is wally in the cage at the apartment. i sure miss him. :( https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net..._8105396_n.jpg |
Wha...really? o __o What's bumblefoot like? Just about all the pet shops I've been to have them on bottoms that are semi-in the the air and the shopkeeper that sold me my two told me they would be fine like that. D: |
Bumblefoot (infection) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
yeah really! that's what they say on the guniea pig forums i'm on. want the link to it? It's called Cavy Cages. Guinea Pig Cages, Your Cavy At Home ---------- i'm sorry to say, that a pet shop keeper will tell you anything to get you buy the animal. :( it's horrible they do that. you have your piggy in a bird cage? ---------- i don't mean to be naggy, just trying to help. i know i lost mine too. just repeating what i've read about cages. i still think mine was sick from not eating enough fresh veggies. |
Eep. That's nasty. D: |
they're so cute. ;w;
-snuggles them- |
*sneaks in a momo huggle*
@Ikuyo: Ish is no more pink season. It's green season now. :o |
shiiii! -hugglessnuggles-
|
Nightmare: i'd definitely take the wire bottom out. you could shred the newspaper (cuz they shred it anyways) or get some bedding that is for piggies. do you take him out of the cage a lot?
|
Ah~ Back from vacation. :B
