I dont' spend a lot on food as it is. I try to go grocery shopping only every 2 weeks and spend only like 50 dollars. I try to buy stuff on sale and use coupons because I'm a thrifty person. But i can't even afford that right now D:

Maria~ I know what you mean. I am not really a saver but I like to have a certain amount in my savings account that I can fall back on if I need to. I am not much of a budgeter either, it is always very difficult for me to walk away from things that I want but don't necessarily need.
I have gotten to the stage where I automatically deposit set amounts in other accounts so that I don't have to worry about things as much.

Roz~ I think I can understand that. I always wonder how people can prioritise cigarettes over food or other basic necessities but sadly I see a lot of people do it all the time.

Hummy~ I guess that makes sense, though I would hope to think that even if they hadn't been in that situation I would still hope tha the person would just do their job because it is their job.

there for awhile i was only spending less than thirty dollars every two weeks.

@Aeisha - my goal is to pay off my car and my loans as fast as possible and save a bit of money on the way. and then afterwards save up all the money goign towards that stuff to invest in a house (and a wedding! XD)

@hummy - that's whay I did at college. I lived on ramen, cheap pasta, rice, and potatoes (gained like ten pounds that i've since lost) and since I'm making more money I've budgeted more out so that i can buy things like salad and veggies and stay healthier.

I couldn't eat ramen for a LOOONG time. I've just recently started eating it again XD

Holy crap, ramen noodles for ten cent a piece? I could live off that stuff.

Well, I just discovered that I've grown taller in the most painful way. Door knobs are now at the perfect level to hit exactly where they shouldn't.

I can not stand ramen, I stick to the cans of Tuna. I buy them in bulk when it is on special and when I can't get them on special I stock up on rain checks.

Maria~ I am paying off my car as well, I try to put a third of my pay towards it each week though I didn't always. I only really started to really dig into it this year and I will have nearly all of it paid off by the end of the year.

That's awesome! I couldn't afford to do more than the minimum for it until I started working here. So I want to do more than the minimum for it and get it paid off quicker. Also I have two student loan payments each month. The second loan payment is only 50 dollars a month because it's a small loan. I really want to get that paid off as fast as possible because that's 50 dollars that can go to other things once I get that done!

a friend of mine's dad has been unemployed for over three years.
