It takes older cats quite awhile to get used to puppies.
Mostly they would just avoid them. |
i think she is aproximately five years old. not really sure of her age, to be honest. she comes near puppie-to-be-named-later, but then she just has the deep, low growl. and if puppie come close she hisses, but hasn't sswatted at her, YET. it's coming, though, because puppie is getting bolder. |
Cats are just very territorial.
My friend has a few older cats and they don't like the new animals at first, but they always tend to warm up to them after about a week or two. :3 |
Yup Puppy Toben (ToBeNamed) will get her nose scratched, and that will teach her to beware of the kitty.

yeah, the first time the kitties saw puppie, they were scurrying away. now they are coming closer and closer. they even sit by each other when they eat. so it is getting much better. still, puppie *i like toben* is hyper and scares them. so then the hissing and hiding in the crawl happens. i am trying to let them find their way to being friends, but i don't want any blood shed. |
Toben would be a good name, but it seems to be more of a "guy" puppy name...

yeah, it does sound more masculine of a name. tobie, maybe? gahhh, that adds another name to puppies list. lol, at the veternairian's office, the receptionist spelled it 'puppy', and after i spelled it for her. first she doesn't tell me they moved the office and we are late, the leash comes off..... |
Tobie is a cute name.
The thing about names...you have to try them out for a bit to see if you like it. We had a dog that we found one summer as we were traveling in our camper to the Grand Canyon. She was this little tiny thing in the middle of the road. Dad had to swerve almost off the road. We picked her up, and Dad said we'd drop her off at the sheriff's office in the next town. Well, we talked him out of that. We took her home and named her GC (pronounced JeeSee, like saying the letters). It was a great name. It shortened to Gees (The G sounds like J). The vet said she was a coy dog. Part collie and part coyote. She was really really smart. It was so sad when she died. |
yay for dad letting you keep GC! at first i didn't get what GC stood for. :headdesk: grand canyon. very cute. stormie has been what i called her most, as a name. but she seems more destructive than just a storm. i figure it will just come naturally. i really liked this name i read somewhere, like about alaska. pakuk~~gets into everything. but the name doesn't roll off my tongue. |
