I can legally vote in the next general election. I'll likely vote Labour. I don't like the Tories at all, and although I do support a lot of Lib Dem policies, they went back on their tuition fees promise, so for me that sort of killed the party before it even started. Bad move, Clegg.
It's legal in 6 states, including the state I want to live in most (Iowa) :3
If this election goes the way I want the trend will continue, We have the first president in office thats openly progay right now, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Considering the other option is one who opposes nondiscrimination laws to protect us? And has laughed off his lead role in bullying a classmate for looking gay? And if certain sources are to be believed, drove another man to suicide by the same methods for the same reason? Ditto.
I'd honestly rather have a rock in office than the other option.
Though because my state is a given to go the right way (California...we almost ALWAYS vote Democratic, and I don't think it's remotely possible for us to vote for someone so asshole-y as a whole), I'm possibly writing in Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye. Just because you know, we need scientists and engineers and artists and teachers to represent us in public office too - NOT just lawyers and businessmen! I know they won't win, but at least it'll show someone noting a need.
And, sorry I disappeared. My computer came unplugged and it takes so long to restart I went to fix food while it was booting.
We've got people praising Romney's business sense...bear in mind that his business sense is to outsource jobs, screw local employees, and then take the money and run.
You can't fix a country like that...unless you're planning on selling some states to Canada and Mexico.
He says he has a detailed business plan to create new jobs, but the only details I've seen only create new jobs in China and India. If his plans are so detailed, why won't he tell us about them?
Oh yeah. Because he doesn't care about half of us.
Over where Cloud lives, a gallon of gas is over 6 dollars. Might be 7 now with the recent major spike.
But that's because this is an island and there's only one gas station here and they can charge whatever the fuck they want. Aren't monopolies wonderful?
Cloud and I are honestly thinking of packing up and moving to Finland when we can afford it. They've got a fantastic jobs market and are ranked at a tie for the best countries in Europe for trans* rights (fun fact: I have reason to hypothesize that the language is part of the reason for this)...perfect place to leave this sinking ship for.
Not to mention they have a really pretty (even if confusing - NINE cases!? ) language.

that does suck.
There is a gas station that sells gas for almost fifty centsless,
Just to get people to buy from him.
I love this Place!
I apparently started a political debate
I try to stay out of those, because I'm very passionate about Obama, and very biased against the republican agenda.
I agree with about 80% of everything Obama says/does
and the only thing I agree with the republican party is foreign policy...
A vote for anyone who actively discriminates against my sexuality I see as a vote against me, and hurts my feelings quite frankly.
So I'm gonna lurk elsewhere for a bit untill the topics changed.
I do feel everyone voting should vote based on the issues and where they stand on them though thats why I posted the quiz
