Some sizes do run really small, especially if they're "girly" or "skinny" tees. :(

Their sizes really make me feel fat because I'm a 2X or larger depending. In others I'm a large or XL.
I admit that I need to lose weight and start exercising especially since I'm having more knee problems. So getting to a healthier weight is a good idea.

What size in numbers are generally the S, M, L, XL?

I would wear more men's clothing (or more tailored clothing at least) if I wasn't lacking in height. -_-
I always forget how much to add or take away when converting to American sizes.

In US sizes XL is 16-18 and L is 14-16 I think. Really it depends because in some brands a large is 12-14, XL is 16 and 1X is 18-20.

Me too. For both things. I find that a lot of clothes nowadays are made to suit tall, model bodies.
Is it something like -2 womens sizes?
BBR: What does 1X mean? I would have thought that was XL, and 2X meant XXL?

I have to agree about clothes being made for taller women. I am a short to average height, but I still have to get short or petite pants.

The people who design clothes must be basing their template on a woman with tentacles. Everything is so long.
I thought a "size 0" was a size 4 here but I'll look at a chart somewhere.

A lot of the 'trends' we have seem to only work on tall, slim models. For example (not sure if it is everywhere) but a lot of tops are short and wide, or batwinged at the moment. Which does not help a short, or wide frame, as the idea of the cut is supposed to be baggy and boxy.

That is were it gets confusing. Some brands go XL, XXL and then 3X and up. Then there are others that go XL, 1X, 2X and up. All I can figure is that 1X is a transition size between the 'average' sizes and 'plus' sizes.

Wikipedia says a US size 0 for dresses and suits is a UK size 4 but there's only a 2 difference between other clothes.
The scales that were in my flat went missing some time ago and never got replaced.

Also I swear that these people that design clothes think that people that wear the bigger size clothes have a fat ass... I hate how most pants fit me unless they are the lower waist ones.
