What is the difference between college and university and what's academy?

An academy is a high school, just where I live most of them are academies. A college does courses but they're lower than university or you can do Highers (which you study in high school) to get you into uni.

Collage is the equivalent of Junior and Senior years at high school and University is like Collage for you :)

and an academy is a school with a status granted by the govenment that provides them with extra funding becuase they are a good school :)

Also, colleges are different in England and Scotland because our last two high school years are sat in school xD

Why don't you have to go to college?

Well we do now but the law allowed you to leave school at 16 and go straight in to work

If you get the grades in secondary school to get into uni there's no point. Unless you want to do a vocational subject or a HND to prepare you you don't need to go.
