It might seem like nothing, but here goes:
I have been working my butt off at my new job, which is minimum wage. I am not getting enough hours, and my manage HATES me. For some reason I can't figure out. (Though since she found out I was in the Army when I was younger, she has been a bit nicer). When I do get a chance to pick up extra hours, it is at the expense of missing class. As a result, I have missed at least half of my classes, am currently 2 pages into a 10 page paper that was due on Monday (oops!), have not even STARTED my other 10 page paper for my other class, and have two final exams coming up! And I will still be working while doing all this crap for school! Oh, and we are moving on the 28th

Hrm... well it sounds like it would be best to talk to your teacher about getting a time extension, given you are trying to work as well. A college teacher should be able to respect that you are trying to support yourself while learning.

Currently in college and I've had some of my teachers say if you have a reasonable excuse they can extend it.

I did email my ANTH 210 prof about the paper. I was asking if it would be ok to skip Thursday's class to work on my paper. He replied that it is up to me - but did I know that it was past due... NO I DID NOT!!!! Which is my fault, as the deadline was clearly stated in the syllabus -______-

I'm glad all I have to do is an internship and I am done with school forever!

Tylor & Morgan

Anthropologists Sir E.B. Tylor in England and Lewis Henry Morgan in the United States worked with data from indigenous people, whom they claimed represented earlier stages of cultural evolution that gave insight into the process and progression of cultural evolution. Morgan would later have a significant influence on Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, who developed a theory of cultural evolution in which the internal contradictions in society created a series of escalating stages that ended in a socialist society (see Marxism). Tylor and Morgan elaborated upon, modified and expanded the theory of unilinear evolution, specifying criteria for categorizing cultures according to their standing within a fixed system of growth of humanity as a whole while examining the modes and mechanisms of this growth.

Their analysis of cross-cultural data was based on three assumptions:

contemporary societies may be classified and ranked as more "primitive" or more "civilized;"
There are a determinate number of stages between "primitive" and "civilized" (e.g. band, tribe, chiefdom, and state),
All societies progress through these stages in the same sequence, but at different rates.

Theorists usually measured progression (that is, the difference between one stage and the next) in terms of increasing social complexity (including class differentiation and a complex division of labor), or an increase in intellectual, theological, and aesthetic sophistication. These 19th-century ethnologists used these principles primarily to explain differences in religious beliefs and kinship terminologies among various societies.
