Wow, I have never been more patronized in my fucking life.
A bunch of women in my SUPPORT GROUP got uppity at me because I look young, and one of the networks I'm listed on happens to be a high school. So they were all "there there, you're in high school, you just don't get it yet"

Well when I fucking joined facebook, you were still required to be connected to a school network, ya fat old bitch.

An abbreviation for the skin disease I have also happens to be "HS" so one of the women thought it was funny after I said that I was "really tired of being treated like I was in high school" to say "LOL, HS doesn't stand for high school" (paraphrasing).

And I got called a sympathy seeker and very immature for saying that I wanted to get to know people in the support group, and that it hurt me that people would add me as a friend on facebook only to delete me a couple days later without a word, when I had hoped they were actually interested in becoming friends.

What the serious fuck. I think I'm just going to leave that fucking group, they've been very helpful, but HOLY SHIT. Such disrespect!

I'm really not that bad unless someone DESERVES it, and there's a pretty strict checklist.
All I did to those bitches was block 'em and report them because I call BULLSHIT--in a support group people should not say shit like that to others unless they're just fucking trolls.
And said that I found it disrespectful that they'd say such things. And then I left. I actually dealt with it pretty maturely. lol *pats self on back* I didn't cuss 'em or nothing!

My thinking was, at least someone in the support group would GET why I'm so crabby. And we could be crabby together once in a while. You know?

Meh, leaving is another 'mature-ish' way to deal with things, especially if you don't have anything nice to say. I like getting the last word though, so I've had to learn how to be an adult about it. lol And realize I can't *always* get the last word.

That's how I feel, especially because this disease can be very painful and debilitating. Some times you just need to fume!

Hidradenitis suppurativa I'm trying to promote awareness so I don't mind being asked questions about it. I would not recommend looking up pictures though.

I'm only in stage 1 most places, beginning stage 2 in one armpit, so its not that bad, but the later stages get pretty gorey and are primarily what you'll find pictures of.
