Yeah, I do see another doctor now. It was just at that time it was easiest to stick with the same doctor because I was back and forth a lot trying to get a PCOS diagnosis.

I'm genuinely fairly surprised I haven't been pregnant yet. I have such a relaxed attitude to sex and protection it's crazy.

Yeah, the coating on the pill they gave me was strawberry flavour. :)

I went to my gyn a few months ago because my derm told me I might have PCOS and I should get tested for it.

And my doctor blatently REFUSED to test me for it and told me to go back on BC...And when I told her I didn't want to she snorted and wrote the prescription anyway and said, "I'm not testing you I'm sure you have it, take the pill its the only effective treatment." I spent most of the appointment crying because my skin was just flared down after my cysts had been bleeding and draining for 3 months (since I went off the pill, because the pill made my cysts ALL get to the size of a grape or larger...except the two between my boobs, those were each the size of a pea), and she wanted to put my back through HELL. claiming it would also treat my skin disease (and didn't believe me when I said it made it worse.)

Needless to say, I didn't take the pill and I'm now afraid to go back to the doctor.

And same here bucket. :sweat: We've actually been really bad about using condoms lately. But when I get back I'm going to make him use them again because...Well, I may have been exposed to an STD or STI against my will and I need to make an appointment to get tested.

I need to make an appointment to get a sexual health test. I ended up sleeping with someone I met in a bar without protection. I'm sure that I haven't caught anything, but better safe than sorry. I need to get more careful about it though. Since my periods are so irregular I don't really want to chance it.

I can't say it enough, if you aren't sure, get a test anyway! Most insurance companies will cover a test once a year, more if you're considered at risk.
If you go to planned parenthood, some will do them for cheap or free as well.

Well I'm in the UK, so I get it free anyway. :)

@Kat: Haha my student union at the college was giving out free condoms at lunch one day, and I licked all the flavoured ones during psychology because I wouldn't be using them any time soon.

@Mon: I'll probably book in sometime in the next couple of weeks. My friend was supposed to go with me since it would be my first time, but she won't any more.

That sucks. Its not that scary.
I've gotten a few so far...just to be on the safe side.
So far I've come up clean.
But, you never know. Sometimes there is a delay.

My ex was tested just before he met me, and he was clean (so since he was my first I was too). So it's just the last guy that would have screwed me over. Pun not intended.
