just got back from smoking.
I have no idea if Dad meant for them to be out or was just lazy about shutting their pin but all of the chickens are out in the backyard. My sister and I left them out, eating all kinds of bugs and fresh greens. |

it is good for them. and it makes their eggs even better. Dad found 6 eggs in the pen when he cleaned out Friday, but since we didn't know how long they had been sitting there we had to toss them to the chickens to eat.

they eat pretty much anything you throw out there.

they prefer their feed and bugs and sometimes grass. they also love cereal and fruit and veggies, but they'll eat whatever you toss in generally.
