Yup. Yes, they use Mandarin Chinese, it is the offiial language. But Taiwanese is like...something all Taiwanese who live there since childhood should know. So I guess I'm no proper Taiwanese, i live in the US during my childhood.

Taiwanese is Hokkien variation. My dad is Hokkien and mother is Hakka, but I speak neither, yet speak Cantonese. XD lol. Thanks to Hong Kong Drama.
