The government website said the current time is 10 days, and they update it pretty regularly. >>;;;
I'll ask in person at the post office though.

Worst comes to worse -they have an emergency express time - 70$ to get your passport in 24 hours. xD
Thanks for your concern though! :)

waytodawn 05-10-2013 03:53 AM

I'm so jelly you two are going to England... o.o I've never been out of the country... D:
I want to go to Japan and just draw all the landscapes and scenery, lol...orz

dessertdesiert 05-10-2013 03:54 AM

OH, ok, I am sorry, I thought that is what they told me when I got it done... then again I didn't know about a website and did mine by mail.

Sansa 05-10-2013 03:59 AM

I'm also Canadian? ...>>;; Dunno if that makes a difference?

And I'd love to go to Japan as well!
I'm going backpacking through Europe when I graduate x3
Than hopefully a backpacking trip through Asia when I'm done my masters/med school. :)

Also wanna hit up South America at some point.

LiviInLove 05-10-2013 04:00 AM

I'm worried about traveling with a 2 year old who didn't fly well last time we flew with her. [sweat]

ROFL yea, I am silly I didn't even think that you were from Canada, that makes a huge difference, you are probably more efficient then us Americans.

This makes me laugh so much xD

Wait do you know French and English?

What happened last time? Does she get motion sickness?

Sansa 05-10-2013 04:01 AM

Awe, poor thing! :(
Was she scared? Or did her ears pop/pressure cause her pain?

I know a bit of French - I can understand it, but I'm really bad at speaking it. I have no affinity for languages. xP
All our signs and what not are bi-lingual though.

dessertdesiert 05-10-2013 04:03 AM

That's why i was asking Sansa. xD Oh well, i am always jealous of those people that are bi-lingual.

Last time, pretty much constant crying and her being unhappy the whole flight and that was just a few hour flight from Sacramento to SeaTac. [yes] And I'm pretty sure it was the pressure that made her uncomfortable.

I'm pretty sure that's what it was - the pressure. We have plans for this trip... def have my fingers crossed that she handles it better! [yes] I really don't want the bad evil looks that I got last time I flew with her. I can't help it that she didn't handle it well! I was doing all I could to try to calm her. And I was on my own - my husband will be with me this time around, so hopefully between the two of us and my bag of tricks, things will go smoother.

dessertdesiert 05-10-2013 04:06 AM

Atleast you know what to prepare for Livin. I can't imagine finding out on a long trip like the one overseas to find out she doesn't handle flights well. I hope things go smoothly for y'all.

LiviInLove 05-10-2013 04:07 AM

DD: Yeah, and keep our fingers crossed tight that things go smoothly. Honestly, this trip has been put off way too many times for my liking. It's been 8 years since my last trip over there and they honestly have been trying to get me to fly back over for ages now. So it's about time that I'm going. We can do this! Thinking positively here! [yes]

Oh, and we already know the last few times we've flown with her, she was way younger though - she didn't handle flying all that well. We're just hoping that things will go smoother now that we have our bag of things to try if things start to go downhill with her. [yes]

Me too! My boyfriend is, luck jerk! Ahha. I'm hoping to take some lessons sometime soon to actually be able to speak it somewhat fluently. That, along with sign-language, though that should be easy, since I used to be able to sign fluently when I was younger - lost it due to disuse though.

Too bad she wasn't old enough to chew gum! That always helps me! Perhaps a soother? Or something to suck on? >>;;
Anyway... hope it goes well!

Oh wow, I am sorry it has been put off so much. Is your family excited to see your little family? When you travel do you have to have a whole bag for your little one?

Yeah, that always helps me. We do have a ton of things that she can suck on or chew on, or anything to just try to relieve the pressure. [yes] And the Bag of Tricks as my hubs calls it, isn't done yet. I'm still gathering stuff for it as well, I have time to make it as awesome as possible. [yes] Thanks! We'll make this work! And make to with what we have. :)

Do you know any sign language community?

Yeah, we had it planned and then I got pregnant with Becca and then we were going to go last summer and then the whole pregnancy with the boys happened. Nothing is postponing it this time! [yes] XD Oh, they're all excited to meet Alex and Becca and I know that Alex can't wait, and Becca - well as long as she's the center of attention, she loves it! [heart] Haha, oh, yeah! [rofl] My carry on basically becomes a bag of stuff for her. [yes] As well as a few things for me, and I know I'll probably end up giving Alex a bag of things that'll have even more things for her as well. Haha! [lol]

dessertdesiert 05-10-2013 04:14 AM

Awww, Do you bring your own snacks when you travel abroad? i know i hate traveling without my own snacks encase I don't like the plane food.

LiviInLove 05-10-2013 04:15 AM

Oh, I'm really picky about what Becca eats - we try to eat as organically as we can, so we are bringing as many snacks as we can for her, and us as well. It's how I've always traveled. I've been making this flight over to England for quite awhile, I used to do it most summers as a kid. =] And that's what mom would do - she'd send us with big snack bags with plenty of snacks. =]

I used to, my best friend was deaf - hence the reason I knew it as a child. But since I'm going to be in the nursing profession - I want to be able to communicate with my patients without the use of an interpreter as much as possible.

That's very healthy, I wish I could eat more organically but that is rather expensive where i live and I don't have a good enough job right now for that. When you're in England is it hard to do that or easier?

Do you still talk to her/him?

Yeah, it does get expensive - we don't always go organic, but we try to go organic whenever we can. And when we're over there, it'll be so-so. It'll be fine though, just as long as she doesn't get too many sweets, and we stick to what we have set down, we'll be fine. =] I've got a plan. :) If it doesn't go to plan, eh, that's fine, I have to learn to adapt sometime. Not like we do this sort of thing all the time, ya know? :)

Oh yes, first and foremost have an excellent time and enjoy yourselves.

Oh yes, i need to stop injesting so many sweets myself xD. I feel like I am acting like a little kid sometimes because i have been eating so many sweets not in moderation like I should be doing.

No, I switched schools and lost contact over the years. This was quite some time ago - I was 5-6 when I switched schools.

I remember the instructor being impressed that I picked it up so quickly - It was probably because she was my only friend at the time. I even got to do that whole text-phone thing at one point, I remember.

I have a crap memory - so it's weird remembering all these little details. >>;

Oh, I know that no matter what, we will be having a blast! [yes] It'll be so so so so good to see everyone again!! [heart] [heart]

My daughter has such a sweet tooth, just like myself. [yes] Moderation is definitely key there. [yes] But I know how hard it can be.

Anyways I need to go and get ready for bed, I just noticed what time it is. oops! I meant to head to bed an hour or so ago... although Alex is just now headed to bed, as he just got Becca to bed just about 25 minutes ago. [yes] My bad, I let her sleep too late during her nap this afternoon, oh, well! Maybe she'll let me sleep in tomorrow! :P Night y'all!

Sansa 05-10-2013 04:27 AM

Night! I think I'll be heading off to bed too! :3
