Why specifically rice?

Rice is filling...and the term used for cooked rice is often used as a synonym for meal in Chinese.

Being an asian. XD Chinese specifically.
Don't know why, these 2 days, I felt rather hungry even though I had something.

I just had a bigger portion of rice with vege and egg, still... feel a bit hungry. I am guessing it is something else... gas maybe... x.x

Some foods just don't have a lot of carbs to them, and thus it makes you feel like you haven't eaten anything.

Like I can have two talapia fillets and an entire can of green beans, and I'll still be starving afterwards. But if you have a starch, veggie and a protein, usually you'll be fine without worrying about gaining weight like crazy.
