Neph is right - my parents can't afford to fly both me and my brother home (from two different schools - my brother goes to school out of state, I'm still in the same state, just down 7 hours from home, in SoCal - my parents live in NorCal) just for the weekend, so I don't get family and I don't get Thanksgiving this year. I'm stuck here... I'm seriously starting to really regret moving down here. T_T I hate this. :((

And now they're second guessing their trip here for my birthday, so I may not even get to see them till Christmas... and I get that y'all may not see that as a huge deal but for someone who's always lived close enough to home to go home whenever I need to... this is HUGE.... and I hate it and I am seriously starting to regret coming down here.

Aw that must be pretty hard Nemo. :( I don't get what thanksgiving is but from what I've seen it's a pretty big family event. Maybe Christmas could be extra special for you this year to make up for it.

It's harder than anyone can even begin to imagine... I'm tired of feeling like I need to hide how homesick I am... shouldn't I be used to being down here by now? I got down here in August... and here it is the middle of October and I'm still unbelievably homesick. I've never fully gotten the idea behind it (and I'm American by birth) but for us it is a huge family celebration... I don't know... Christmas isn't Thanksgiving... No one shouldn't have to be alone for Thanksgiving, yet, I have to because of money being an issue. I just hate this all. D: Sure the school I'm at is the best on the West Coast of the US for my major, which is why I'm here, but it's so far from home. And I don't know if I can stay here, if all it makes me feel is sad and frustrated and alone. :(

What day is Thanks giving for the states again? Maybe a little party thread could be made for it?

I've not been home at all since the end of August... and people here get to go home for the weekend, because a lot of them live close... and don't make a huge deal out of it and I hate them all... -.- BECAUSE they get to see their parents, and I can't... because I'm not going to ask my parents to drive 14 hours round trip just to see me....

I just hate it ... D: Why am I even here?! T_T

But you all aren't my family... and Thanksgiving is about family... :( And they're not here.

I don't know the date... I do know that it's the Thursday after my birthday, and my birthday is the day of the Who 50th. [yes] Edit: Just looked it up... 28th November (Thursday)

Gosh! Life without pumpkin! O.O

Pumpkin pie is awesome, its just pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice (which is a blend of spices) and maybe a few more things put into a pie crust and baked in the oven. I love it! Drinks would be similar, puree and a few other ingredients.

I just got back from sinking Columbus's ships. I'm changing History. Next is the Mayflower.

They'd be coming the 22nd and probably staying to the 24th of November, if they do come, but as for Thanksgiving, I'll be around, got nothing planned, as of right now. I'll probably be hiding by myself in my bedroom all on my own.
