Depends on when you start. But beauty dresses are a couple thousand dollars each, and then classes, and the other outfits, usually flippers for the teeth of the young ones (a couple hundred dollars), tanning, travel, etc. Girls who start as toddlers probably spend half a million dollars by the time they're in their twenties. Prizes involve money, but only if you get a big trophy, and sometimes the prizes are only about $500.

I desperately wanted to be a pageant girl as a child. Glad mom put the kibash on that.

Well, mine was 700 for the chassis, another 500 for the engine, as well as 200 for a set of tyres. Another 100 for just general stuff required to make it run. Now it's 1200 for an engine rebuild, which is roughly once a year, 200 per set of tyres, which is twice a year. Probably 500 a year for just general upkeep of it. And I have another spare engine, which is only 500 a year.

And that's only mine. We run 7 of them.

But you have a group.

And it's 2 people paying for most of it.

And i'm an idiot, because I'm seriously thinking of putting another one together to drive.

That's kinda how Cosplay is for me. My last Costume all together was 685 For materials/makeup/wig ect. then about 20 hours of effort making it. Which if I had paid someone else to do it would have been another 500. Worth it though. XD I do a major one every other year. I'd like to do more but being a single parent mean I gotta pay da bills. XD My next Cosplay related purchase is going to be an awesome make-up airbrush. I've Wanted to get one for some time and I think this year will be that year. :D

Bellydance is a little easier, but I'm about to get a $300 costume...which is half price.

I do both, though I prefer traditional. I'm getting moved up to advanced after the performance this Sunday.

Oh it's fabulous! LOVE those colors! I'd never be brave enough to go bare belly.

They're my two favorite colors. And I just loved how they looked together.
You can buy body socks to wear, but I just can't be bothered to be self conscious about it. I weigh 300 pounds and if anyone cares, they can stop looking.

Being a fat kid all your life gives you a thick skin. Bullies are uncreative, and there is a LOT more to me than the way I look, and if you don't care to see it, I'm not gonna waste my time with you.

I just lost 12 pounds in a little over two weeks on a strict paleo diet. I haaaate it, but it's effective.

It's about 140 kg.
