I was just reading up on the Tamiflu. I guess part of reason it is so expensive is because of one of the necessary ingredients that they have had a hard time finding an alternative to, it was saying it took 13 grams of star anise to make 10 75mg pills.
I was also reading about some of the adverse reactions, side-effects & studies.

i do hope it is worth it
how many pills did you have to purchase?

My doctor doesn't have me on that... I don't remember the names of the ones that she does have me on - but I know that that isn't one of them. [yes]

I don't think that any doctor would tell You about it because "Flavon" is pure natural.

Ah, ok, I'm not a fan of really taking meds (even if they are natural), plus I don't really have the money to go out and buy anything as I'm running on a very limited budget.

hummy 01-12-2014 06:56 PM

i think i like natural things better
they usually mess with me much less

nemo.love_22 01-12-2014 06:58 PM

Same here, but I find that they cost more and for a broke college student like myself who doesn't work and only has a limited budget, that doesn't work very well for me. *sighs* So I just wait it out and relax and hope that it goes away on it's own.

Neora 01-12-2014 06:59 PM

Well It would cost about 33$ per month

nemo.love_22 01-12-2014 06:59 PM

That is 33$ that I don't have.

It was $34 for 10 pills.
I have to take them for 10 days, Miscreant has to take them for 5 days, but he takes 2 pills a day.

The studies seems a little goofy to me.
It was blaming the medicine for some odd/abnormal behavior. Maybe it is the illness causing the abnormal behavior?
High fever = delirium
Apparently one of the studies I was reading was in Japan & kids age 10-19 were hurting themselves while on the medicine. Not a bunch of kids, but a few. No pressure on the kids that age in Japan.

[idea] Maybe the illness + stress of school + family pressure = abnormal behavior.

hummy 01-12-2014 07:01 PM

i didn't know it's more expensive to but natural things
boy tht does sound wrong, doesn't it?

Damia Flagg 01-12-2014 07:03 PM

I think it depends on the natural stuff you are trying to buy.
If you are going for prepackaged natural stuff it probably would be more expensive, but if you had the knowledge & time to figure out some of it yourself it might be cheaper.

nemo.love_22 01-12-2014 07:04 PM

But I really don't have any extra money, and I'm trying to save my parents money so therefore that means cutting down on things, and not asking them to help with money related things, and I'm on a very strict budget as I don't work.

Yeah, but I can almost guarantee that I won't ever do anything about it... -.-

I'm the loser who's a forever student, who can't handle working at the same time as it stresses me out too bad - classes stress me out enough... so I have a VERY very very limited budget to work with.

hummy 01-12-2014 07:06 PM

i wonder how you could get a sample?
maybe write to the company?

Damia Flagg 01-12-2014 07:08 PM

To me it just looked like a dietary supplement.
Did I look at the right thing?

Neora 01-12-2014 07:08 PM

I don't know where she lives... I don't think that You can get it everywhere.

All natural things are dietary supplement... Flavon looks like jam.

Citrus Hammer 01-12-2014 07:18 PM

This is going to be a rough work week. My boss piled a ton of extra work on us since there's a "White glove" year coming up. Afternoon shift gets accused of not changing the trash even though THEY HAVE EVERY FUCKING DAY and I PERSONALLY WITNESSED IT.

Heaven forbid it get changed during 1st or 3rd shift.

I'ma start taking pictures :3

do you have a call back for your internship job?

Citrus Hammer 01-12-2014 07:21 PM

Internship sounds like they plan to hire me, they just don't have a timeline of when. It could be as much as two months.
