I know I've said this before, but I really missed some CIs when I was on hiatus. Been scrambling to build up enough coins when I can find them in the marketplace or trades. Plus I am questing for myself and my daughter. It's all good - gives me a perfect excuse to chat with people!

Do your parents dislike dogs as well?

I wish I had money coming in so I could get CIs and sell them to you guys (for a reasonable price, of course.)

My mom strongly dislikes dogs and loves cats.

I love both dogs and cats, although I prefer dogs. Mostly because I grew up with them.

I grew up mostly with dogs because my dad is allergic to cats, but I've had cats and the occasional dog since I've been an adult. Prefer cats mainly because I tend to wind up with the most spastic dogs ever.

Well that explains your dislike of them. It does seem odd to bring a dog into the house then.


I am an all animal person, but I'm allergic to cats so it's hard to love them the way I can a dog. Can't cuddle a big old allergen for very long.

That was the downside for my dad as well, Steel. He really loves cats - just has so much trouble breathing around them. Oddly enough, he did fairly well whenever he visited us and we have 4 cats, but the cats weren't vying for attention. They are fairly aloof.

My mum really doesn't like cats but loves dogs. I like Both, I can't wait to get a cat one day.
My sister got to keep a cat around my age because it was "a gift". :<

Haha. Yeah, my cat is a total lovebug. I have to take Benedryl before I can go outside with him.

My mom grew up with a dog and a cat, and she just adored the cat. She talks about her all the time. I didn't even know she once lived with a dog until I was in my teen years. It was kept outside. She has even seen a dog give birth (I know, ew). I don't know how many they had, but they weren't allowed in the house. The cat was allowed. She was a smart one, too.

Generally outdoor dogs don't tend to create the same attachment that indoor ones do.

And I've helped with many dog births! It's like the best feeling ever. Haha.
