Public speaking sucks. I might be able to do it without looking nervous, but it still sucks to have to do it.

I sell Gold Canyon candles and we were having a big meeting with our company directors.... I had top sales in December and nearly as high for January so I was asked to do a demonstration on your promo kits. :( I sucked.

Amane: I can do it - but there are times that I just need to forget that people are there. Plus it's super quiet as the entire class is done in sign, so no vocalizing. I don't mind that, but it's just kind of weird and deafening at times, if that makes any sense at all?

Thank you!! :D I decided that I would go with the colors in the directions just because I thought those two did go well together! Mmmm... like an hour and a half? I think? I forgot to look at the time when I started and when I finished. LOL, so that's all a guess. I'm so crazy when it comes to perfect tiny stitches. Plus I've had a bit of practice.

They chose really well, would you do those colours again if you made another? Oh my, thats a long time! Though the more time you put into it can benefit you greatly, which is probably why your stitching is so perfect!

I get it. Sometimes silent is the loudest, really. If only closing eyes while speaking were acceptable. My mom told me she used to close her eyes while singing in church if she got nervous, and people would think she was really into the song!

I wonder if I look as nervous as I feel when public speaking..

Definitely would do different colors, probably yellow center still, but different petal colors. :) That's actually a short amount of time for me - the sunflowers took 2 to 3 hours, and the octopuses took 6 to 8 hours, so this is one of the simpler projects. :) Yeah, although I Was stitching pretty fast. The back of it isn't as even but it's not too bad. :)
I rarely do, and it's not too bad - I had to actually do that with the first petal as I didn't realize that you were supposed to sew through two layers - well technically three layers counting the petal - of felt, and I only was sewing through two (one plus the petal) of felt, so I had to take out some, it isn't as hard as you'd think - thankfully! :) But if I can help it I don't take them out, it's a pain to do, because it frustrates me, more because I am so careful with stitches the first time, that having to redo them is annoying. :P

I stare at the back of the room if the teacher doesn't expect us to make eye contact at random.

Haha! If I have to give a speech (verbally), I have to be VERY careful with my hands as I will actually start signing. xD

It feels so weird having to make eye contact at one person in a whole room of people. I hate it when people look at me when they make speeches, you just don't know what to do!
