So glad I didn't continue studying primary school education. >.>

I have been in two classes that were 3/4 that were well behaved. even with subs. I was a volunteer in that class.

That is very surprising.
Remembering back, subs used to get so stressed out, leave or cry.

Yeah, I don't really like babysitting either, especially at those ages, but at least it tends to be in small numbers. Also, with babysitting, you can let the kids run around a bit. In elementary school, you're supposed to keep them quiet and sitting. Which is stupid.

I once had a teacher walk out crying and she was our regular teacher. boy did that class straiten up after that outberst.

Haha, yeeep. It makes a difference. Mostly because of parent involvement. If the parents don't care if the kid gets in trouble, then there is nothing you can do to them as a teacher that holds any consequences. A trip to the principal's office is a break from class, extra work will never be done, grades don't matter to them. It kills me.

awwww, so sad to hear of kids not reaching for their best.

Such a huge difference. Parental influence and input makes so many things run smoother. The education system and parents need to work together better.
