Nemo ~ with my job I sort of get exposed to everything coming & going. We normally do get a flu shot, but we forgot to get it when we last went in. Too much on our minds I guess.

Damia: Ah, ok. His wife had exposed him to the flu before he went to get the shot, so just saying, be VERY careful. After the fact he was told that if you have been exposed to the flu that you should not get the shot. Just saying. That's just what happened to him. It was bad, he totally didn't expect to end up sleeping for a week, literally. Not making this up at all.

My mom is in the hospital with a kidney infection and a fever. She has been in the hospital since Tuesday. She also has bacteria in her blood, and they are worried it could attack her heart after having heart problems a few weeks ago. Not to mention it could also attack her knee that she got a knee replacement on. She is IV antiboditics to help prevent it. She will remain in the hospital until she has no fever for 24 hrs. Not to mention she has diarrhea.

It was scary, his wife wasn't sure if he was going to survive or not. It was REALLY bad. My dad was doing work with this guy when it happened, and it was so bad that even months afterwards he was still very weak and not able to do a lot of work because it tired him out fast.

You know when I say I like to be nibbled on my ear, it's really weird when a puppy does it.

I'm not making up what I'm saying, it's 100% true. This was last spring that this happened to my parent's friend. Not this recent go through with it - and it was because he was exposed to the Flu when his wife got it and then went in and got a flu shot after he was already feeling sick from the flu that he had already been exposed to.

But whatever... I do hope that you don't end up coming down with it!

DD: You're welcome! I can totally understand that! I know that's how my roommate was when she was in the hospital for about three weeks this semester.

I really don't want to have to go back out, but I guess I will as soon as the ding dongs have the automated system call to say it is ready.
Doctor also wrote a prescription for cough syrup, but the one who has to make it was out to lunch when I got there, so I knew I would have to go back for it. I was figuring I would get it tomorrow, because it is the same stuff I take for nausea so we still have some in the house.
I don't want to leave him at home by himself when he is this sick.

I sort of figure he picked up the flu when he went for the check-up Monday.
