Angel, you look adorable! How is everyone today?

I'm just so blah today. Kaleb wants to go to the library today for their special program they are doing but I just don't feel like it. I don't want to disappoint him either though. Why does everything have to be so hard all the time? And I hate how my parents are twisting around the little boy that passed away into trying to scare me about our swimming pool we just got. It just makes me feel even worse and like i'm a stupid piece of you-know-what who will never amount to anything.

Oh sweety. Your parents are clearly terrified of the water, which is a shame, but you don't HAVE to be. It is a normal thing to have a pool in the backyard. It is totally okay as long as you keep watch over the kiddos, which I know you will. The pool is a lot safer than a river or lake anyway because 1) you know what is on the bottom and 2) there is no current. Eventually, yeah, the kiddos and you should probably get swim lessons. If for no other reason than IT IS GOOD TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM IN CASE YOU NEED IT. You parents are just trying to put their own fears on you. Tell them to shove it.

I agree with steel. You really shouldn't let your parents get to you. Your kid should be fine as long as you keep a close eye on him in the pool.

People get really irrational about certain fears and try to push them on everyone. "I'm afraid of this so NO ONE SHOULD DO IT!" It's weird, but it seems to be human nature.

Yeah, I've noticed people like that. It's rather strange. Why push your beliefs on to others? :P

If you keep an eye on your kids they're not going to drown. What happened to that poor child is one of those freak accidents in life.
