Not true! You can milk goats and yaks, too! Genghis Khan and the mongols lived on horse milk, but that's kind of weird in America.

It's mostly on cows and the odd goat you see milking demonstations on. You don't see someone bringing a yak in to show a group of kids how milking works.

Oh it likely worked fairly well. The problem would be the vaginal infections it probably caused. Same with the Greeks using vinegar as spermicide.
