I'd say "breathes heavily" comes more natural.

English is a language made of words from Rome, Greece, France, Germany, and pretty much everywhere else, which only English people can speak properly.

It sounds something like this:

Oy, jolly wot, gerroff, ya wanka! Manchester United! Bangersnmash!

*was almost an English major, knows these things*

I get weird looks from a lot of people's husbands... I'm used to it.

You can tell him the crazy English girl was acting all Britty, and maybe he'll understand.

Haha, I did - and his response "Oh, dear! Another one?" He's married to one (although lately I act more American than British. xD)

I knew there was a reson we got on well!

I'm really only halfsies, my dad's over there still, but I was born in Murrica... I still mess up my spelling and everything, but I'm sort of able to be one or the other at different times now...

Except for this horrid, constant craving for chocolate-orange Aero bars, which seem to have lately become extinct.

Mint is okay, but I like the orange ones!

And Sleepy, it's not communicating with anyone, it's shouting "Manchester United! Ya tossas!"

There is a difference...

I was born in the States as well - but most of my summers growing up were spent over there with my mum's family. :) For me it's my mum is from over there, dad's from here. I've got one confused accent - dad from the south, mum from england, and then throw a bit of a California accent in there as well.. haha! Yeah, it leads to people not being able to figure out where I'm from most of the time. My American side has been showing more often than naught lately.

I hate that when things that you love just disappear from the shops and it drives you mental trying to figure out why they're gone, because it's always the good ones that go away! :/ Not fair!!

And yes, there is most definitely a difference.

I assume that's the english equivalent of a collingwood supporter.

There are many forms of athletic supporters, and they are all jocks, so yes.

And as far as accents being weird goes, I've finally found a solution to it: Tell them you're European. Nobody will know better, and if they ask which part of Europe, tell them you simply don't know, because you speak Eengleesh now and there's no word een Eengleesh for it..

It works for me, and only once have I had to fudge about with the whole "Eengleesh" thingy.

XD

*is kidding, and you should probably not actually do that*

Oh, I rather like that idea!! I think I'll use it next time!!
What a great way to get around the whole weird confused crazed accent thing!!

My eldest calls me "mumma". I call myself mum, and my hubby calls me mama, or mommy, and she combined the two, on her own!!
