Wait...some of my Indian kids call their cousins "brother" or "sister"....is it like that?

He's my brother, but not my.. Blood brother [ninja] All I have are 3 sisters [gonk] This is my uncle's son, who is a.. (Nephew, cousin, I don't know!) in here this relation is called a brother, the most closest relation. So he is my brother [squee] Am I making sense? >_>

Yeah, the ones we call brothers are the people to whom it's okay to show your hair (or it could be the uncles, I'm not very clear about that..) I call all my cousins brothers/sisters, though [lol]
