A lot of my allergies are miserable.

I miss orange juice :C

It was a packet mix but if it was from scratch I don't think I would have been as lucky.

I miss protein bars. And edamame. But mostly my biggest issue with my allergy is that soy pops up in the stupidest places. SO I won't realize that something has soy in it and then my throat starts swelling and I get hives and blisters inside my mouth. It's scary. But at least it's just the one.
My other allergies are all nasal. They're unpleasant, but easier to deal with.

I'm incredibly careful about reading all the ingredients on things. Nothing quite like it having tomato listed and buried in the middle of everything. I imagine it is the same with you and soy.

Haha, yep. Soy is a sneaky little bitch. I'm sure acidic foods are too, because there are SO MANY of them. I'm pretty good about anything with ingredients lists. But soy allergies are weird. I'm allergic to some soy products but not all soy products (processing really matters), so it's a strange one.
My biggest issue is fast food. [yes]

Jeez, I know that. "I am allergic to tomato."
"..... You want ketchup on that? o3o"
"No. Absolutely not."
"Oh, okay. ... My manager said the sauce has bar-b-que sauce in it, and I'm supposed to tell you. I told him that you're allergic to tomato, not that, so here's your food."
"I wonder if you have a brain in your head at all >:U"

Oh lordy, yes. I got a salad through the Wendy's drive thru. I was halfway through it before I found the first soy bean. [headdesk] That was a fun day to be substitute teaching.

I don't think I have any food allergies. But once I figured out I had an allergy to itching cream.

I think part of it is because we're so ignorant these days about what's in our food.

Though I discovered my soy allergy after drinking an entire glass of soy milk for the first time. That was pretty unfortunate timing.
