N O S T A L G I A
I can’t believe this place is still hanging on.
How many folks are still active? Hi, I’m a fossil. 💀 Nice to meet you. |
It is. Amazingly. I think of the people and the time spent here and hope that everyone is doing well :3

What happened to the owner of the site? Are they just MIA? |
OMG I never thought I'd see you back here. XD
Let's seee. Uh, the owner is busy irl but he continues to pay for the websites hosting for yearssss to come. I think this was the last we heard from him: https://www.menewsha.com/forum/showthread.php?t=221971 |

Glad the owner spoke up about the future at least. What’s new with you? |
I miss it a lot too. Really felt like an awesome community in the past.
You started a sticker club, right? I love that~ How's that going? I've been great. Really enjoying my job at a library. Trying to get into making money through art on the side but I'm barely motivated to make art. XP |

I did! It’s so much fun, I love it. My recent order from my manu. got messed up though. I ordered two designs, but one ended up being someone else’s order. Thankfully Stickerapp was really quick to reprint. It’s already in transit. That’s awesome, when did you start? Is it like an admin position? I’m not too familiar with all that happens behind the scenes of a library. I totally get that, I get so tired from my days I also struggle. Usually I have short phase where I’m motivated and I just draw as much as I can so it evens out. |
Aw, that's sweet~ I don't think I've met any other Menewshans in real life. ; 3;
That's great you're enjoying it! That's funny you received someone else's order, tho. XP Nah, I don't think I could handle an admin job. XD I mostly work in circulation and help with patrons on computers. Oh nice, that makes sense to do. X3 |

Yeah! I don’t understand what happened. But at least they are willing to fix it. I signed up for a work out trial that said 3 classes for $30 the other day. Thinking what a cool deal. I’ll go once a week for next 3 weeks, only to find out they meant 3 classes in 7 days! Now I’m frantically trying to fit it into my schedule DX what the heck! I did the first one yesterday, I asked about the offers. Girl was like how often are you looking to come? Me: once a week? Apparently some people go there everyday, some even twice a day. It’s really intense. I already do Pilates every Monday at 6am, I just wanted to go to another fitness thing on a Wednesday. That sounds like it can be challenging and rewarding, especially working with people. You never know who’s coming in. How did you end up finding the job? |
That is cool. ; w;
Yeah, that's great they could do that. Oh? What kind of work out class? I should really work out more... So true. So many people come in looking for all kinds of help. It's nice when I can help accomplish a task. X3 I initially started as a page at the library, someone who just sorts and shelves library items. It's an easy entry-level position. My supervisor recommended my current position to me when she moved to a different library and I've been here ever since~ |

It’s called F45, super intense resistance and cardio training. I did my first hybrid class yesterday and nearly passed out. I literally had to sit down because my heart rate was 189 BPM (girl is out of shape omg). They were super nice, got me a juice box and a protein bar because I also ate no breakfast. RIP That’s awesome that you were able to move up like that. Here in Canada if you work at the library they have a union and it’s considered a government job with pension. Does your library also operate like that? I booked a trivia night tomorrow with my hubby. Excited to do something fun this week, we haven’t been there for over a year. It’s a board game cafe. You have any fun plans this week? |
Ooh~ Can I see a pic? o:
Woah, that sounds like a scary intense workout. XD I don't think I could do that. I like gradually getting into exercise. I just started recently doing some 20 minute workouts every night. This library does have a union. I don't think we're considered a government job here but we are considered public service employees? We have retirement funds. Oh, that sounds fun! Was it general trivia or something specific? How did it go? O: I have some big plans this weekend! I'm going to a gay art market Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and then I'm going to a furry/super bowl meet Sunday evening where I basically plan to announce (not literally but like just tell friends and family) that I'm dating someone! I just started dating him very recently. 🥰 Also, sorry I disappeared for a bit. XD |
Sorry, I got busy with life too.
Here is a pic. https://i.ibb.co/Lds1G3bB/IMG-1796.png Honestly, it’s about the consistency and not so much about the intensity. 20 minutes a day is really good! I try that approach sometimes as well. That’s nice, all good perks to have. It was general trivia, but each round had a theme. There was 7 rounds I think. One was like birds, other was TIL so more random stuff. Geography. You really benefit by having more people that might know something you don’t How did the market and announcement go? Also congratulations! That is very exciting. I’ll be with my partner 10 years in August. Funny how time goes by so quickly. You don’t notice it. |

Aww, it's so cute! XD I really should get into a consistent workout schedule.. I really love going for walks too. I need to starting making it a daily routine. Yeah, trivia does seem to go much better when you have more people who know more random facts. I actually got a flat tire the Saturday of the market but I got to go the market on Sunday instead since by bf drove us. X3 We had a fun time! I think some friends expected the announcement and some were surprised. XD We've been dating four months now! 10 years is an amazing milestone! Wow!! How do you plan to celebrate?! > w< |
