I've been able to get in touch with some people I've been out of touch with for a few years. Although they were part of the same circle, it wasn't a group reconnect, they came to me individually, which is both nice and not at the same time, ha.

I managed to get my hands on something special: an original William Holman Hunt etching. It's all mine now. Who would have thought I'd ever own a pre-raphaelite work.

We've had some really stupendous weather these past few weeks, including some terrific thunderstorms! One of them was so close, it caused the house to shake and things to fall over. wowza. I'm really looking forward to the start of this season.

I also got some new glasses the other day. Really different, really delicate and vintage. I wonder how they will work.

Also, Simon just logged on to the messenger service as I typed. That's good, at least I know he's not dead - he really is too much like my brother, going off for months at a time without letting people know. Yeesh. (glad he's still around)
