I never use any of the darker tones because it just...doesn't look like me anymore! I'm pale as a ghost, and I feel like my avatar should be, too. ~nod nod~
Sadly, I think my avatar might actually be just a smidge darker than I am o___o I really am way too pale. |

I have the tan one on right now, i dunno why but i just prefer it for this site (maybe because it's close to my actual skin colour?)
I do change it from time to time though depending on my avi. It feels weird at first but i get used to it. But when i can, i use this one. |
I always use the same base and the same hair/eye colours for one simple reason... I am naturally very pale with green eyes and currently have red hair. My avatar is my internet persona and I like me so my avatar very much reflects who I actually am.

I've never had a pale skinned avatar. They just look WAY too odd. XD The paler skinned avis, no matter who does them, just never seems to be just the right appealing shade for me. *shrug* |
Yeah, pretty much always base 1, or whatever is palest.

I usually have the palest skin, but I don't mind changing it for the sake of a better matching. I also change the eyes/hair a lot.

I like to change mine when the mood suits. My hair colour changes more often than skin colour, but it just depends on what I think looks best with different outfits.

I always keep my tan (#4) base and hairstyle (color too). I just like having the same "look" all the time, only switching around outfits and items when I want. Just a weird habit I've had since day one I guess.

I've always used the Base 1 for my avatar because the character that the original avatar I created on Gaia was based on had light skin. Then when I made this character, he was intended to be an extension of my avatar on Gaia. So I've tried to keep him the same skin tone and hair color as my avatar on Gaia.

I am the EXACT same way. I've always kind of had a tan avi and I like it so much better than the lighter ones. Those light ones just don't look good. >.<

What can I say? If I didn't have this base, I would have a tan one. Not that there's anything wrong with the light-skinned bases, but I prefer dark, rich colors.

I like using Male Base 2 and Eye 3 Green..
I can't seem to make myself change them.. The Eye 3 looks alot like my eyes...I always look like I'm glaring. xD;;; |

I use this base all the time. But i do change my eyes and mouth and of course hair and color. It's hard not too.
