Inspiration?

The inspiration for my dream avatar comes from a recently made song,...

named Black and Gold,... xD
I love the song and as i was designing my avatar it was stuck in my head so hence the avatars looks,...

So i was wondering where people got the inspiration for their avatars?
And what do you think of my design ? :sweat:

My 'inspiration' is normally just an interesting item I haven't used/seen before, so I build an avatar around it.

Your MAC is so-so. The black needs to be more evenly distributed, and the red and the gold would look better if they didn't blur together.

My two favorite colors and one bold color. =/

Usually bold and bright colors, but sometimes I'll get so focused on one item or an item combination that I'll build an avatar around it.
By the way, I find it funny you have a song called Black and Gold stuck in your head when for the past week, I've had a song called Silver & Gold stuck in mine. xD
Now I want to base an avatar on that.

I don't have a dream avi, because I don't have any inspiration for one ^^;
Which is why I usually always look for threads where people want a dream avi just so i can make something based on their requirements. When I do make an avi for myself however, i usually just base it on a new item, or an item i like and work around that (if you can call that inspiration).

I actually can't see your dream avi... is it in your sig? Because I have those disabled to save on loading time :sweat:

My avi is based off of an OC that I RP in a particular RP on Gaia. She's named Morwyn, and I thought it'd be fun to have an account named that and cosplay as her. Whenever what she is wearing changes in the RP, I try to change my avi's outfit to reflect it. It is fun even if it is kind of frustrating at times when I can't find exactly what I have in mind XD

@Pearl: Thankyou for your feedback,... ill keep in mind to evenly spread the colours (Im never any good at making my own o.o) Its cool to get inspiration from an item,... Ill try that and see where i come out with it :)

@[L]ove[H]ate: Its, awesome to base your avatar on your favourite colours, i suppose if i did that it would be a mass of green orange and blue :O

@Donna: Ive never heard of silver and gold, (goes looks for it) And as i said above its nice to get inspiration from colours and items :)

@Amo_Angelus: Hey thats quite nice :) basing an avatar on eastern zodiac is pretty cool, mine would be all brown and white and ram like o.o in all zodiacs im the ram sheep or something similar,... western eastern and another one i cant remember the name of ^ ^

@Amurita: hehe i usually find it easier basing an avatar on someones specifications than that of my own :)

@Morwyn: Morwyn is a very nice name. very pretty,.. and yes my dream avatar is in my sig, im having second thoughts on what i want it too look like though x3

@Everyone: thankyou for your feedback,... its nice to hear what people base their avatars on if any and what inspiration they have :) I was trying to base an avatar on Nightmare Before Christmas but its still a work in progress o.o

my inspiration for my avatar is what ever I can afford :)

For my dream avatar, I just played around in the avatar creater a bit. I looked around for items that matched my Bee Slippers, and ended up with the dream avi i'm going for now.

Well the inpiration behind my avi at the minute is the xmas event and as i am part of the yellow team i thought i would have a yellow avi

I had a hard time finding inspiration... it came mostly from other avatars. -shifty eyes-

I normally find an item I like and build around that. Either that or whatever I have in my inventory at the time.

My dream avatar is going to be based on one of my favorite movie characters in female version, I won't name the character incase someone else does it before me.
My current avatar is because I'm fairly new and when I first joined I saw that some items had the same name and thought "Oh wow, I should buy a set!" Though I didn't realise that the pure hatred set has wings that will cost me 7000g... *sigh*

Hm. I usually pick what I just like at the moment. Or maybe I get a bit inspired by another avatar of someone else. But I don't copy.
I dress up like what my mood is atm.

I was going for a pirate queen look and ended up with this lol, but I like it.
Mhmm not so much of an inspiration, I was just thinking about Depp at the time. xD
Then I used MAC and went through everything.~

So instead I raided the shops and save the pictures of all the items that I liked. hehe

I get a lot of avatar ideas from songs, too. X3 I also often do roleplay characters and the like when I see items that would be particularly fitting for them.

At the moment I'm going for an anthro phoenix look. My main account may be permanently in my Genesis cosplay because I love it to death...but I'm continuing my long tradition of near constant change on this account because I love playing ith my avatar.

Why a phoenix? I'm not sure really. Really, to be totally honest, I just thought "Hmm, it might be fun to try and make an anthro phoenix avatar." So...I'm at it now. :sweat:

I never have inspiratation for my avis. I just make them with cool colors and stuff. But right now, I could careless about commons because I'm trying to get CIs.

My usual inspiration for my avatar is that I'm trying to make one of my original characters. :P If I'm not doing that, I'm mixing and matching what I have in my inventory from costumes of my characters, and trying to see what works. If I find something I like, I go and buy items to complete the outfit. :D

I have no inspiration, my avatar is always just silly-looking.
