I've decided at the end of my course I am going to celebrate by going over to the USA/England to go to an overseas anime/gaming convention, to meet up maybe with staffers and cosplayers I've met over on DA

Now a thought has popped up in my brain: What would I cosplay as? xD Some sexy gamer girl or my menewsha avatar?

I've chosen the avatar now :P lol

My question to you all is, would you ever cosplay as your menewsha avatar? or consider making your avatar for fun or halloween?
How would you go about it - make it all from scratch or buy clothing that looks similar enough to pass?

Generally, lets talk about what it would be like to dress as your avatar for a day, and if you have, show pictures xD

Hehe, well seeing as my avatar changes daily at most times it would be hard to do so.. but.. I'd have to say yes I would. xD

I think if I ever went to a convention to meet a lot of the staffers and other users I'd probably dress as the avi I won Admin's pick for. The second win... not the first... -dies- Of course that'd mean me being comfortable enough to wear lingerie as a shirt... hm.. I might rethink that.

Anyhow.. I would if I would be meeting staffers and such.. but... I don't think I'd do so for any other occasion. :(

Sure why not. I'd probably just buy things sort of similar and add on the details, that's usually what I do.

Speaking of Menewsha cosplays, I really want to do Vicktoria but her dress looks complicated. :gonk:

over on gaia I'm pretty rich, so I'd totally cosplay as that avatar...^-^

I wanted to cosplay as one of the characters I played on Gaia. XD That's been a few years now, though.

If I knew I was going to be meeting people from the site (so they would recognize it), I would dress as my avatar.

I would probably buy things that looked similar and make mods on it. I like making my cosplay as accurate as possible though, so I would probably prefer to make a lot of it from scratch to get it just right.

LOL. Technically - I already have cosplayed as my avatar! (Which is easy enough, as my avatar is supposed to vaguely resemble me in the first place...)

It was for that contest Menewsha had way back in October of last year where we could win an iPod. XD ...All right - so I didn't actually own all of these items (or items like them) at the time, but I did as best I could to create a recognizably "Menewsha" avatar. XD



Not the most flattering photo in the world. Instead of the camera adding the usual ten pounds, it seems it tacked on a few extra pounds for giggles and grins. However, ignoring that, it still amuses me. XD;

I made that skirt myself by purchasing cloth and stapling on plastic leaves and flowers. >_>

xD No, because my avatar happens to have a much more flattering figure than I.

Hahaha - thanks. XD I remember writing down what I thought would be a gold amount that was somewhat fantastically large! (And, I guess at the time, that was relatively large! ::laughs:: )

Angels RL clothes look remarkably similar to what her Avatar wears, so there'd really be no point...

I've considered it, but for Halloween, no one would know what I was.
Though, now that I think of it, my costume this year could probably be duplicated on here...

Well, my avatar is half naked now so I wouldn't like that. But I would like to dress up my avatar in a demonic way. If I could dress up like her it would be awesome!. It would be the greatest day of my life.

Right now I'd be nakie but I love being naked in real life because it's so free... no I'm not a slut or anything. I've actually never kissed a guy in my life. =O But yeah it would be a lot of fun. I would love to do that for halloween but I can't go trick-or-treating because unfortunately I have band that day. Also I think some of the stuff I like on my avi on here would look terrible on me because I have a belly and the stuff here shows my belly. xD

But she wears too many skirts and half the time I dress her up to be half naked. No one wants to see a half naked Fabby, fo sho.

For me, it just depends on the avatar of mine. Some I would, some I would not even DARE to set out in public with.

I have actually considered making one for tacky day at my school (my carnival avatar). xD

I don't know right now xD its not until i finish my course, but i defently need to go to this one place in england and meet the girl of my dreams who cosplays as cloud >.>; and i'd love to go to one of the conventions that gaia goes to and hand out menewsha cards xD

lol, well, I have a lot of the items already. The main problem will be the pink and yellow. I have only one pink clothing possession: a hot pink 3/4 sleeve shirt I just bought to get my mother's pink pestering off my back for a while. xD! And I don't think I own anything yellow >.> I could raid my moms or sisters closet though. or subsitute.

And the crown. xD Burgerking and gold spray paint? xD The carni pin should not be too difficult.

I am NOT dying my hair purple though. XD

You can buy some spray-on hairpaint, though. XD It washes right out. And they sell it at Wal*Mart (and likely other places) around Halloween. :)
