Oh, really? ^^;; Whoops, my bad then for not reading. 8DD;; Sorry, jelly!

Hmm... how about a Travel/Destination subforum? =O Where you can maybe talk about places in general, or even recommend countries or specific sites to visit? You can even advertise your country, kind of, or so at least people will know about good resorts to go to for the holidays and whatnot. :>

Hmm, this could just end up as one giant topic though. =\ But, if there will be a lot of places/recommendations, that might be hard. ^^;;

*wonders if this was already mentioned*

Wouldn't that end up being something similar to this? Or maybe the suggestion I made earlier could be a subforum (or two different subforums, you never know) within the forum you suggested? Or maybe they'd stay separate. o.O Not sure.

Maybe there could be a catchall type forum for those subjects-- I.E Travel, Destinations, and Regional Culture ? Where people can not only discuss their travel plans but talk about all those fun taboos not to do in foreign countries that seem so commonplace where ever you're from. XD

Well, I was actually specifying and narrowing down the subforum I suggested to the places itself. ^^;; More travel than culture. =P

But, as Omi said, they both are related to each other. =O For each destination place, there's always a history behind it. :> I have no idea though if they should stay together or separate. =O

I think that Travel could be the general one, with a subforum on specific cultures of places even? =O Or, something like that. ^^;;

I guess my biggest fear of separating them would be a case of lingering slow forumitis. That would hopefully bring more activity to that particular area as a whole from people passing through. That's pretty much my only concern about it. XD

Hmm, I see. =O I see your point. The main reason I would separate them is only because it would be more organized. ^^;;

Although, right now I don't know which one would be better. 8DD;; I guess it'll depend on how people will receive the place, if ever it does come into fruition. =O It could always just start as one subforum, and then we can create subforums inside this subforum if the need arises. =\

Other than that suggestion, I dunno. 8DD;;

Or maybe the travel/destinations forum should be a subforum inside the culture/traditions? Or maybe we could just smack all of those into one and call the forum 'All around the world'.

All Around The World isn't the title that went through my mind, but I like the general idea though. :>

We'll see what jelly has to say about this though. ^^;; <3

Well, you get what I mean. Maybe not 'All around the world' but perhaps 'Global' or something?

Splitting forums up too much with the current size of the site isn't a good idea, so don't get too carried away with your suggestions. Loads of little forums springing up isn't the intention here because they'd be dead and that's not what we want. Things can get split further once the site becomes busy enough to require further re-organisation, but too many little used forums/subs is off-putting and to be avoided at all costs :yes:

And we are just looking for forum suggestions here, not naming and so on :)

Sorry for over-analyzing then, jelly. ^^;;

How is the original suggestion about a travel subforum though? =O I'll suggest more once they come to me~ ^^;; <3

I'm not sure. Another reason why we don't want to go too over the top with forum creation is because it will kill the GD. Really what we're looking for right now is forums for subjects that there isn't really an ideal place for currently.

Hmm, I see, I see. =O Well, these ideas can hopefully be stored somewhere till Mene grows bigger then, hopefully. :>
<3<3

Will we be seeing these updates in the forums anytime soon though? =O Not to rush you guys or anything, but I'm just generally curious~ ^^;; <3

hmph. I see no-one else thinks that a David Bowie forum is a good idea. boo to you, anyway. not like I ever liked you people.

(;.;)
-sniffle-

anyway, I like the idea of a fashion forum, myself. it's such a huge topic on here already- it'd be an incredibly active forum.
a homework help forum... is mene really active enough for something like that? I mean, if people were to ask for homework help, they'd go straight to the GD because that's where all the people are.
I'm not saying it isn't a good idea, but it'd be kinda slow. who's going to wait around the homework help forum so they can answer immediately? it'd seem like a bit of a chore to me...

Ah, but the GD isn't made for homework help and the such. There's no place for that in the forums right now. Asking for help with a math problem or trying to understand how to get the answer isn't a 'discussion', which is what the GD is for.

I'm not dying for this or anything but probably you could get around this by making a separate usergroup that would be joined.

And y'know, you can't prove that everyone is 13 and older either to be technical. Again, not like I want one of these.

The forums that I'd be most interested in that aren't up there would Cooking/Food, Kdrama (I can dream), Birdwatching (I can dream some more.)

Oh right! Yeah, that is a bit of a dream then, that's kinda far too small an interest catagory to warrant a forum of its own :sweat:

I would like to see a discussion subforum to the roleplay forum. Not a place for OOC topics for specific roleplays, but a place to legitimately discuss certain aspects of roleplaying and share roleplaying nightmares with each other.

Seconded. I mean, I'd love to hold a thread about character flaws and how to create full, even characters.

I think that the Homework help would be awesome! : D

I think that a Lifestyle forum would be awesome,
where you can talk about fashion, hair styling, cooking, pets, makeup, etc ....
Anything related to how we live.

I agree that a technology forum would be good too!
Then I can ask make a thread towards tech-savvy people asking and discussing which internet browser is best.
Huzzah!
