better than the rest
 

I looked up this site on the internet a couple days ago as I like to hang about on these sort of sites when I get bored at home and no one else is around to talk to..ya know.

SO anyways I think I found that this site is so much better than others I have been on such as gaia...
reason being is that many people are rather rude on sites such as these and as i don't care much about it, it still isnt nice coming home to a reply on a post or forum saying bla bla bla f*** off you loser when all you've done is started a simple conversation about saying happy christmas to all and so on.
Also i have come across weird people to message you saying you have a hot avi, what confuses me as how someone can see s bunch of pixles as "hot", i can understand cute or adorable or evil looking but hot...
A woman or a guy walking down the street with hot looks and great clothes yeas hot but a bunch of pixels is a no no.

Anyways my point is what do YOU lot think of this site (don't know if i should have posted this in the "hi im new nice to meet you" forum but oh well)


aaaaand the staff are rather nice to, I've managed to mess up a few times and post threads in the rong place and they simply move it, i did that on another site and ended up with a warning :o and wasnt nicely said either, I actually made my nice day rather crap for a simple mistake...

Its a lot easier to be rude online than in reality and people tend to take advantage of that often. Anonymity tends to incite and reward it in some aspects. No repercussions from that behavior, etc.

I'm not sure pixel art/dolls/avatars that are fairly small are sexually appealing so much as the idea/concept/execution of their clothing is. XD That's just a tad odd to get hot and bothered over pixels approx. the size of your thumbnail. There's just not enough there to see. Its probably the mind/imagination taking over and making it seem more appealing or envisioning something larger/more appealing.

Either that or they're trying to find some sort of conversation ice breaker and it seemed appropriate? I dunno. I can't say I've ever called someone's avatar hawt and actually meant it as "sexually appealing and is giving me the vapors" before. XD

I love Mene but I'm biased. (hurhur wonder why >_>;; ) I try to pop up on other similar sites nowadays but its pages of bumping or mindless bits of text and little to no conversation. Or its the same conversation regurgitated in 8 different threads. That's why I find Mene so nice. I can roam about and read about different topics/debates and not run into the same thing 2 or 3 times in a forum/subforum. That and the general userbase is much more inviting and friendly-- even if they don't agree with you, they'll at least try to explain their views and why the believe in them and some sort of understanding usually breaks out. I love that. I'm much more open and ready to join into a conversation if I know that whatever I type or whatever view I carry won't be shoved back in my face immediately without any type of explanation or attempt at understanding/empathy.

Staff here tries their best to be fair and personable when it comes to infractions. If anything, I've witnessed that they try to explain what happened and why it shouldn't/should have happened to try and help the user from repeating the offense. And the fairly new NEWBIE WHAP is nice-- helps guide new users in the right direction without permanently scarring their personal record. Of course, everyone's human and may be prone to shortness/irritability every so often (myself included). : x Even so, I know that the everyone tries their hardest and it hopefully reflects that way. :heart:

oh and kittykat, I understand its not nice when you post a picture of yourself or even art and it ends up being ridiculed by people who have no clue what so ever of either true beauty or in my case artisticness :P.

I like the fact that you've all replied saying how much you like this site :P its also made me consider the facts of becoming a designer of sites liek these. would be a nice job to do specially if you could pull of the nice maners reserved on this site.

I think I might ditch my gaia account and stick to here :P

i love menewsha is so mutch fun lol

I started on Menewsha before Christmas, now I'm addicted. I think there are so many interesting conversations going on here at any given time and people seem to actually consider others points of view. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming too. I think it's amazing how creative the creators and users of Menewsha are.
