One thing I found I love about Mene
 

One thing I find that is really homey about Menewsha is that there's no "races". What I mean by this isn't Black, White, Indian ect. I mean like there's not a lot of people that stick around one forum. At least I find that I am all over Mene. I check my quest, welcome the new comers, see what's new in the GD and sometimes I'll drop by here. It's only one of the many thing's I've grown quite fond of, of Mene.

What is one of your favorite parts of Mene?

the collectibles and every other thing is easier to get than on other sites and im a tetris freak ^.^

@:Ninja: You mean "prommies"? At least I think that's the Gaian equivalent of what you're referring to: users who stick to just one or two forums and are well-known within them as prominent users.

For Menewsha, I haven't noticed really any occurrences of this aside from the ACers (i.e. the users who wear elaborate or generally well put-together outfits and hangout largely in the Avatar Chat subforum). But even then, I wouldn't say it's a huge clique since anyone can join in, although a few fashion styles tend to be the most recognized.

I have plenty of favorite parts of Mene. I love working with my fellow members of staff of course, but even before then this was the first website where I really felt like I was part of the community. :)

I generally stick wtih the quests forum. Though I haven't been all to active lately with school kicking me in the buttox. But! I know that if I move out to any other forum, I wouldn't be snubbed and told to go away and that I don't belong there...

I have to say my favorite part of mene is the staff. >.> I'm bias though. But I love the community feel and all of the friends I've made. ^^;;

I don't just hang out in one forum, to be honest I hide the majority of the time xD

I try to be active in a few places but tend to fail miserably. I'm only posting about now because I'm procrastinating about a tedious task that I'm fed up with doing :sweat:

I used to hang out in the exchange a fair bit, going back some time here too! But the people I used to bully talk to either aren't active any more or got their idiot behinds banned. I used to post in several threads in Menewsha Nation but again I just fell out of the habit, and it's dificult to get back into but I try and stick my head in and say HI every now and again. But that's kind of pointless really, and I get peeved at "post and run" habits in others so I really shouldn't do it myself :ninja:

I'd agree with Ferra that the cliquiest area is most definitely Avatar Chat, without a doubt! Which is probably why I don't post in my Admin's Pick thread much either xD

It's a different perspective from my side of the fence though, as most of my posting is done in the staff areas now.

My favorite places to post are the Debates and Life Issues subforums. After that it's the GD, Community Discussion, Books, and Media. I only post in the Mene Exchange when I have something specific to buy or sell. And I like to lurk in the Announcements, Site Feedback, and Information Desk, but I very rarely post in those forums.

I don't know exactly why I don't post in Mene Nations. I post occasionally in the chat section of a site that's a lot smaller...so I think with Mene I just got into the habit of not going in there and being antisocial. And then we got more users (which I actually think is a good thing besides for this reason) and it became even more intimidating.

It'd be interesting to learn from others where they think I hang out more often.

The exchange was pretty much my home when I first joined. But now I try to post everywhere. Okay, that's a lie, heh. For awhile, I would stick to the red section of the forum. But occasionally, I'll post in the General Discussion. And often times in the Avatar Chat. But like others have stated, it definitely feels like the most cliquiest. But then again...so does the Quest forum. :| I see a group of all these users that mainly just stay put in there most of the time. Keeping each other company in one another threads. However, I've found those people to be the kindest of others. I dunno, it'd difficult to explain.

With the new Forum Sites Discussion subforum recently placed in, I find myself posting there a lot. And if not posting, just lurking the replies.

I love posting in the Life thread, and I've been doing the rounds in the Fresh Meat section.

One thing I can't help but feel is slightly overwhelmed. The longer I spend here, the more I realize how big of a forum this is. There's so much going on sometimes it's hard to keep track. However, subscribing to threads is a godsend. I love it. The actual format of this board is really very slick. Kudos to whoever set it up. :)

I love Mene because... it has pretty pixels.
It has the friendliest staff and members.
you can go to just anyone and converse with them without the feeling of being insecure. and the events are fun. also you can feel really involved. not just a player but as someone in a community.

Lol you guy's told me! I guess I am one of the few who go all around Mene. :ninja:

I think the site leans more toward what :Ninja: is saying though. It's more like a community and you run into people and recognize their threads a lot more easily.

Not that I have any econ threads, or anything. :oops:

Why I like Mene?

- Well, I understand the homey feeling ninja mentioned but its homey for me because of the people around here feel like they are a part of a big unit, almost like a family. There's always somehow helping another person out and everyone is so friendly to one another. There are barely any negative vibes flowing around. It just seems that everything is at peace. It really gives new members a sense of a community... Plus, I always seem to chat up the nicest people ^-^ Everyone whom I have had a conversation with is always friendly :)

- The prettiness of everything really helps too! I have been onto a tonne of forums and I have to say the layout is really neat and the colours are bold and eye catching but not overdone. Every member's avatar looks really cute! And the items come in such a great array of colours and just imagining collecting them all would be a dream! *Sighs*

- Events! I love the events here so far and really, I have not been active enough to see that many but from what I have seen, the events are very well done and organized and they see a lot of members participating! Its a very smart way to bring everyone closer together and they are always great fun!

I'm glad that the community feeling is still evident. A lot of older users say it isn't there any more, but they're looking at it from their perspective which has altered as the site's grown and the userbase has changed. I certainly noticed it when I first joined; my first impression was one of shock and glee at being able to post in any thread in the GD without receiving a barrage of flaming from ignorant asswipes.

Obviously the community isn't as close-knit as it was at first, I used to be able to look at the who's online list and personally know every single person on it, that's not the case anymore because of user turn-over, and because I just don't get to be as active out in the forums as I did when I was a mod and a CM.

But it really is good to know that people coming in from elsewhere still find us to be friendly :D

Hmmm... I like Mene because the users here are so friendly. And the Mods actually interact with other users. What else?.. People are literate here. And I also love the snake game. I've always been so fond of that game x3

I love how literate most people are on here.
There are rarely n00bs or beggars or trolls.
I love Tetris.
The administrators and moderators here actually talk to people and not just going poof or acting all high and almighty like somewhere... *coughGaiacough*
