BBR i sent back the lion because i finally got my trade for it...:) now i has my own and i am ready to Tame it!!! XD

I'm starting to get worried. Rose hasn't been on for awhile, the mascot contest and the art contest were both suppost to have ended by this point.
I hope she is ok.
She was sick last time I talked to her.

I miss you guys so much, but I don't have internet...stupid telephone company screwed up my bill and we're arguing over it. Hopefully I'll be able to get internet again soon. If not then maybe I can slip off to a local library every so often. Right now I'm at my cousin's and using her computer. If things don't work out then we'll change the event date to in the middle of July. I'll figure out something, don't worry. Hope to actually get to talk to y'all soon and get to stick around. Again I'm really sorry about this happening.

I am glad its about internet problems and not about other worse issues... like mine.. but even in my issue i am dng my b to make it here.. i mean i do have internet... i just have to let go of my emotions and give here..you know?

Ahh cool. I was curious about what was gonna happen with this commission thingy ma jig for the circus. So i'll just leave it as pending for now, until Rose gets her situation back on track ^^

Also there are only two who have sent me their circus avis so I can doll them.. I am going to send out PMs.... So I don't miss anyone.

I understand that. My internet is kind of funky too. It stops working, we call up there and they swear that we have used the same internet as 25 people would. lol

I didn't have any internet for awhile either. I went like 2-3 days without it. I played Fallout 3 pretty much the whole time, lol.

As I warned before the event planning thread went up, this will in many ways affect your event. If you have any questions about what rules apply to you, please feel free to ask.

As far as fees go - the only fee you will be asked to pay is 500 gold for the front page banner if you want one. The sub-forum and Announcement are free as they were things user-run events previously were given with no questions asked.

Well CK i am more than willing to pay that 500gold for the event... but i have to check with BBR first...lol :)

i am so excited about it..and hopefully we can start the prepartations soon...do you need the 500gold ASAP? if so i will send it to...Bootylicious is it? ^^

You can pay for it by the first day of the event - it doesn't have to be now, but yes - it does have to be paid to Bootylicious. :) Let me know if you have sent it as Booty's account isn't checked every day.

ok... i am going to try to get the ok from BBR....^^ she is having internet problems...

but my instinct is telling me she will be ok with it... so i might want to just give it to you ASAP..

so Ill just wait a few days for her reply to me in here..but i also know she has internet problems...

so ill give it like 4 days..and then ill just go with instinct and ill let you know..:)

@ Esme.. also I am working on some extra siggy banners to promote it.. I need to send them out to the hosts to help get the word going for the event. And I have everything set for my thread I think.. but I am wondering who needs help where so we can get a uniform fun look for the sticky threads... Also we need to get Nivvy confermed by BBR when she has a chance to be on so our banners are ready... and a new question we all need to sit down and talk about the announcment we need to come up with for the event release. I am with you on the go on instinct thing.. and if you need help with th fee I will help. And We really do need to all get together and figure out our plan of execution here so we are organized. >.<

Well for my thread I did header banners for all my sections in the same font and colors as my siggy banner... so I did the traditional yellow/gold dark red colors for the stuff in the tropicana font that is like the old school circus writing... and I have my catagories decided on and how to enter and rules and all for the contest.. but the things we need to do as a group is figure out if BBR will be here to decide on mascot and to pay the artists so they have enough time to get our banners out to us so we can have them to promote during the event and for the homepage advertisement and one to go as header in the anouncment.. also we need to figure out how the anouncment is going to go.. we will also nee to decide what will be stickied and whatnot in our subforum when the time comes and make sure our fee is paied as well as what pizes go to what contest and what prize for what level in each contest.. you know the fine details of it all.. I just feel if we don't get on it it is going to fall apart and be slap dashed together and not look good at all.. I want us to put on the best user ran event Mene has ever seen so it will be a time of change for the better in the name of user events.

I agree.
And I do love that font. I think we should all have thread banners like that. So they all match.
I think I'm going to fund some of my own prizes. So I will have a lot to give.
Maybe we should start talking about who we all like best on the mascot contest.
I'm not sure what to do about the art yet.
Maybe the announcement could say something like "The circus is in town. Come join the wonderul ringmaster and performers."
All of the contests will be stickied.
I think if Esme is willing we should go ahead and pay the fee. Rose can always refund her if she wants.
I think we need to figure out how many prizes we each will need.

I agree with you both.. and I can make all of the thread headers for everyone.. I just need people to PM me with what ones they need exactly... they do not take me long to make.. so it won't be an issue for me.. My contest thread things are already made.. I have the one in my siggy, one that says prizes one that says performers, and one that says sideshow, and one that says rules... I have to catagories for the avatar contest.. performers where you will dress like a circus performer that is traditional.. and sideshow, for the ones who will dress like someone who would have performed in the sideshow.. it is a harder catagory but it should get the creativity going for people.. and livin it up a bit.

for the anouncment I was thinkin Come one come all young and old the Menewshan summer circus is here. Be Dazled by the high flying feats of acrobats and contortionist. Have a laugh with the clowns.. Marvle at the bravery of the lion tamer. See sights of wonder in our sideshow... Participate in fun filled contest and try your luck at winning some amazing prizes. You heard it right Menewshans... the circus is in town!
Come while you can the circus will be in town from "date to date" Don't miss out on the wonder!

What do you think of something like that?

Also Esme I agree with paying the fee so we can have the subforum to get things set up in on time.. and we do need to break up the prize groups.. I think that each contest should have a gender non bias grand prize.. like the head wings or the pirates booty and Ninjas arsenal.... that way every thread has something people are going to see as big enough tickets to come in for.

Do you guys agree?

Also I had an idea for a text based animated banner.. I can make all the slides I just need to find someone to turn it into a giff.. like the ones Sakura has in her siggy only in the text like my siggy banner... it would flash and say come one come all... the circus is in town.. and then the dates would flash.. so first slide would be come one come all slide two the circus is in town, slide three has the dates.... I think it would be a neat banner.. and maybe it would be a good one for the host siggys during the event to link to the subforum..... what do you think.. gawd I seem to sound like I am trying to take over. >.< I just wanna help way too much I think..lol

Those are great ideas Ivvy and I support you on that...

I was going to see if I can somehow make my lion tamerism more so that way... like roleplay as i gather the art contestants...^^; mybe show some lion taming vids? i dunno..

or i could play a little game while doing the contest too.. like find me cute lions to tame or something... lol ill give my little prizes for that.. :)

i just sent the 500g to Bootylicious and I contacted CK about it...so the fees are taken care of. :)

Okay so now we need to get together the thread layouts for the contest stickies. I can make them all so they are uniform and go with the theme. I just need the info for each thread. You know everyone will need a rules and prizes header for those sections.. and then everyone will need a unique header for the contest they are doing. I can do it when I get the ifo from you all. And then we come to the fact that all the funds are on BBRs mule.. and the payment for the artists.. when BBR is on again we need to try and get her to send stuff over even if it is all to one person to start with ... and then it can be distributed.. and we can pay for the art for the event.. the artists need time to get their stuff done.. you know. >.< Ahh rawer I am all planning organized obbsesive. >.<

I am lucky that i save the rules thingy for the other art contest that we Evil Faeries did.. I can sort of use it as a reference for the art contest rules..^^

let me know if you need me to do anything else... i am not good with art stuff.. but if you need me to search for things i will...^^;

or write things...or something ...lol
