I don't know why, but I always think of "mew" when I see it. Maybe it's the "new" inside it.
|
Maybe it means Me New Psha well thats my guess. What if it is a cat maybe its named after the person who made its cat.
|
Goblin: I always figured it was based off of Minutia too, which seems like a good name for an avie/social site to me.
|
Josh didn't name the site; he simply bought the domain and kept the name for the community.
menewsha.com used to be some guy's portfolio website and the name came from the word "minutiae." |
sounds chinese o.- i wouldnt no wat it meant tho cuz im not chinese ;o
|
I was wondering about the name too. When I first saw the world Menewsha, I noticed that it was really hard for me to say, like I'm stuttering in the middle of saying something. It also sounds like My New Show to me. The story of how it came to be makes a lot of sense, I had a friend who did the same thing, but it wasn't for a site like this, it just happened to be the right price.
You know, we should make up a meaning for Menewsha. I think it'd be fun. |
I heard somewhere that its just cuz it was the creator's only choice for some reason, Menewsha or something else that i dont remember.
BUT i do remember that menewsha was originaly for a diet program or somethin. x3 |

I remember being very surprised when I first learned the word minutiae. I can't say it without thinking of Menewsha. |
Personally I love the name. And find it very easy to spell. Spell it like it sounds. Men-ew-sha
|
It is an epic name.
|
I don't know, but I like how it sounds. Meeenewshaaa...... I just hope that it doesn't follow in gaia online's footsteps either. =3 |
Menewsha sounds like "Me is new"
Me" "new" "sha" |
I don't think I am pronouncing it correctly.
I pronounce it as "ma" as in mare but without the r; "new" as in new, "sha" as in shark. In that way it always sounded like some mysterious female mage, or perhaps some sort of advanced spell. Or even a color. Menewsha (when pronouncing it my way) does sound like a color. |
