in all seriousness, a lot of you guys have presented very good and convincing arguements and i must say i have to put in my 2 cents on this.

i guess in my opinion, these kind of sites appeal to the women for the sole reason of socializing. women tend to interact to people in general, and mostly to other women because they are hard-wired to by genetics.

men, on the other hand, tend to socialize in order to compete. i guess thats why MMORPGs are always the rallying point of the majority of male gamers.

for me, i guess im a meagle... i socialize but not to the extent of socializing because i really need to, and i compete enough to have my testosterone levels in check to the minimum that nature can allow.

there are so many more girls than guys on this site! i was startled when i noticed this

I agree that female avatars are more fun to dress up though. There's a lot more flexibility with girls, and then you get to glam it up! Not that men can't glam it up if they so desire... I just doubt there's as many items for that.
