You're never to old for the internet, or any kind of forum. :)

I know people on another forum who are over 50 years old.

These types of sites tend to have younger people come on but it shouldn't be exclusively younger people. I'm only a teenager myself so I fall into that group but I see nothing wrong with somebody a lot older than me being on sites like these. Its a great way to socialize with people you'd never meet in real life and the older you are the more wiser you'd be (hopefully) and just add different views into the mix. Adults use the internet too and there's no rule saying they can't join in on the fun.

I don't think anyone is too old for menewsha. As long as you enjoy and like the website, I don't think it matters how old you are.

jokerpoker56 01-01-2010 06:32 AM

Not really

there is not really an age limit to online avatar sites. but webkinz and other sites really should not have 20-40 year olds on that site cause its for kids

tavis harts 01-04-2010 06:20 AM

I never understood why people are bothered by the ages of others.

I suppose its this odd misguided belief that everyone has a check list and once you get old you have to cross "fun" off.

I'm what many people could consider "old" but I still enjoy playing games, the internet and chatting. Hell, I've met people that are well over twice my age and I enjoyed talking to them. As far as I'm concerned as long as you can form sentences and coherent thoughts you are more than welcome on any avatar site.

sarofset 01-04-2010 07:46 AM

No one is too old for any activity on the internet, unless it states an age limit, in its' user agreement. Most of the people in this world, are older than me. I see talking to them as a chance to gain some wisdom, or knowledge which they may have become privy to with age.

Dear Derrick, 01-04-2010 08:53 PM

I really don't think there's an age limit.

On Gaia theres a guild called "The Geezers" or "Geezers" or something like that, and they're mostly 50+ but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't looked in the guild.

In the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento, whenever Rain and I have to go there, we're pretty cool with Uncle Robert (See, we even call him uncle) and he lets us sit in the Junior Member room (they're all 6-9) and play with the stuff. We dress up and play with the toys, and even do the talking for them and sound effects and get really into it. It's fun and to hell with anyone who says we need to "grow up" or to "go through puberty" because they're just being poor sports.

I remember when I was thirteen, I even met a sixty-something year old on either Habbo or IMVU. I used to spend craploads of time on those things and I think I can name every old furni in the book. It's crazy how obsessed I was with Habbo, and IMVU is just crap now.

You get the point, I won't go on. No age limit for me, you can be 357739559306420983458634956065748159 and be on avatar sites for all I care.

ron234 01-04-2010 08:59 PM

how old do you need to be?

i believe maybe over 40 because at that time you will have a family and that is very importanet.

jellysundae 01-06-2010 01:58 PM

*pokes Derrick* I'm in the Geezers guild on Gaia xD We're not all over 50 xD Most of them are 30s and 40s. But really, it's only the people who have an bit of an immature mindset who class others as too old for certain sites.

Wynna 01-06-2010 02:04 PM

I hope that there will never be an age limit for Menewsha, because I plan on staying here for as long as possible.

Ryo Skylight 01-06-2010 02:34 PM

you are only as old as you make your self out to be ^.^..

There is no such thing as too old for anything if you like what you are doing. I think age groups get stereotyped just as well as anything else.. a lot of people think the older generations are creepy if they enjoy playing things that younger ppl generally play.. not everyone has creepy intentions tho. I always get a kick out of older people cosplaying at conventions ^.^ they end up having some of the best costumes wow..

Chikuma 01-06-2010 10:34 PM

You're never too old for FUN! ^-^ *does a happy dance*

Are adults not allowed to go on the internet now? What is wrong with a 46 year old on an avatar site? I know quite a few people on these sort of sites who are out of their teens, it doesn't make them creepy or weird. This basically is a social networking site so if they want to be social then thats fine. As long as they enjoy the site thats fine, their should be no age limit on sites like these. Also if you look at the birthdays thread in the general discussion you will see that the most popular age group is 18-30 or whatever it is. So there are quite a few of us oldies on the site, I am proud to say that I am in that category too (nineteen in February) x3

America 01-07-2010 04:20 PM

I recon that maybe 40 is a bit old.
I've seen a grandmother on Gaia before. I was like, is it really a granny o.O

jellysundae 01-07-2010 06:16 PM

I'm going to be 40 in a year and a half, so should I throw my computer away when I reach that age, then?

fridayd5 01-08-2010 09:22 AM

Actually I think that over 70 is a bit old..
But i don't know.. :)

Yep, start saving your memories on your flash drive now. :insane:

kimu 01-08-2010 07:46 PM

The internet has no age limit!~
But...
I guess when you are at that age where you just don't enjoy posting on forums and of the such, is when you are too old for Menewsha.

The Wandering Poet 01-08-2010 10:35 PM

After some thinking you're too old for something when you're the ONLY person from your generation playing... =) but being "too old" is fun XD cause then you can show off to the youngins

One of these days I want to get really good at a specific game when I get old and just cream kids XD then tell them "You just got whooped by an 80 year old HAHAHA!"

Portia 01-09-2010 12:55 AM

What I don't get is people who say that at forty because you have a family you should give up because its inportant. They say it like family wasn't inportant before which amuses me slightly.
Also I would like to know the ages of people that say 40 is old, I am willing to bet that they are in their very early teens

soach thegilkrad 01-09-2010 01:24 AM

300 years old is too old I think

Mama Juru 01-09-2010 01:58 AM

Yes, and keep your mind out of my computer. Oh wait, you can't throw it away. Yan gave it to Omi.

Some Random Randomness 01-09-2010 05:05 AM

So I only have to put up with jelly for another year and a half?

The Wandering Poet 01-09-2010 09:58 AM

Jelly is almost 40? O.o I thought she was like 32... huh...

Though what would we do without Jelly? Seems Jelly and Juro are kinda a yin and yang... don't want to disrupt the balance do we? Guess you two gotta stay here forever!! Mwahaha!!

jellysundae 01-09-2010 02:38 PM

Rando :talk2hand:

Same to L o g a n too, just x 100000 or so :P

People who think that anyone is too old for this or too old for that just need to get their stupid immature heads out of their butts. It's as simple as that.
