I don't really think there should be an age limit. I mean my mom is...old and she goes on Gaia.

I also do not think there is an age limit for sites like this. Its when you just grow tired of it. I love going on sites like this one just to hang out and chat with other people. It relaxes me and lets me ease into my day especially before or after a long crazy work day.

I'm 18 and have been interacting with adults online since I was 12. One woman became like a second mother to me, and another became like my big sister. Both of those people, though older than me, impacted my life greatly, and I wouldn't ever want to go through my adolescence without their guidance. I don't think there IS an age limit, unspoken or otherwise. Come as you are, be friendly, make friends.

I don't understand how people believe there to be an age limit for forums, it's like saying there is an age limit for lunch or dinner outings/gatherings between friends. Forums are just talking to people and you can't be too old to talk to people.

I am 23 years old and a few years ago I used to be a part of a forum that included quite a few people in their forties.

Do whatever you feel like doing as long as you're not hurting anyone or breaking the law. Just like in the real world, you socialize best with people you can relate best to. If its someone your age, younger or older, it doesn't matter. I relate best with people within ten years of my age on either side, generally, which usually leaves out teenagers and the 40 somethings, but I don't rule any age out. If I happen to relate to a 16 year old about something, or a 47 year old, and they aren't judging my age either, then we get along just fine. Of course I would not flirt with anyone that is under 18 or would consider my age too old for them (which would make them too young for me anyway - if they think my age is "old").

That is my sage advice.

Not all 40 year olds has a family. lol Tho, if you're 40 maybe hanging around teens is a bit boring.

From my experience older people are usually more polite and friendly on the internet. Anyway I dont think age or gender should matter online.

As for myself, I would not begin to assert an age where one becomes too old. Not entirely surprising considering age does not seem to be an issue for a persons interests in my family. Case in point eight years ago, I learned my Grandmother is (was?) a DBZ fan.

I believe that you are only as old as you act. Age is just a number so you can keep track of history. Communities large and small co-exist with people of different ages and so forth. I also believe that it brings new and exciting experiences to hear from the young and older folks alike. Who knows, one may learn something from someone older than themselves. xD.
