Doesn't anyone ever check their PMs?
 

I swear I've sent three now and have had none of them answered.

For me, PMs are a very important way to keep in touch. The odds of bumping into the same person again precisely when you want to talk to them, at the same thread, are pretty slim. It's just easier to use private messaging.

I always check my PMs. I get curious.

Interesting. Do you actually know the people you're PMing though? Because in general there's not that many people who enjoy receiving random PMs from strangers, I know that I don't, lol ><

Ok jellysundae dosn't but i love random pms...pm me! I check every time i'm on, but sometings i forget to logout so it will say i'm on when i'm really not not ^^

Its actually pretty easy to find people. This is a pretty small site and most people have their favorite haunts that they frequent in, yanno?

But besides that, yeah, I do check my PMs. In fact, I just got a Tetris challenge a few minutes ago.

Not to mention, are the people you sent PM's to even online when you sent them? Are they online at the time you get impatient and wonder why they aren't responding?

Because it's a small site, people don't tend to hang around ALL day.... just hop on and off at odd moments when they have time to check up on things. You'll get used to it.

Just remember, it's a slower pace here and you probably aren't going to get instant replies, by pm OR in a thread. (unless like this one, random people pop in to have their say...)

I don't much like random PMs either... >_>; PMs just to chat are slightly irritating as I'd rather chat in the forums and earn gold for it.

Please also note that if the person you were trying to talk with via PMs was listed as "online" that might not be actually true. A user can show up as "online" for up to 15 minutes after they've logged off.

Really? Well that would explain why it always looks like there's more people online than the actual activity suggests. :XD

But I suppose anything under 15 minutes and they might just be afk for a potty/cig break or something...

Or some people like me who read everything they get but then leave them sit around for a week or two >.>; cos im lazy/busy...

I like random PMs, but that's probably because I don't receive many PMs in general. :lol: My problem is that if I set aside something to reply to later, I usually forget. I make a point to reply to PMs as promptly as possible.

Generally I do, but sometimes I get distracted or I simply don't have the time at that moment. I'm pretty good about replying to them on Mene, but on other sites I have a tendency to let it slide. >__> *cough*Gaia*cough*

I'm one of those- click, read, get distracted and forget to answer types. I don't really get messages anyway though.. ^^; I really hope to make some friends here, but I feel out of place and it's hard to really get..acquainted..for now it is my boyfriend who messages me here.

I always check my PMs because they're kind of hard to ignore thanks to the notification system, and how the 'Mail' button gets a number beside it...I don't get many PMs though :lol: Most of the time I answer them, unless it was the end of a conversation or something that was really random and I have no idea how to answer to :sweat:

I personally much prefer commenting others to messaging, as I'm horrible at keeping my mailbox tidy, I never know what to delete and what to keep, so my mailbox is always in a mess :XD

I always check my pms if I have new ones. I don't normally but that seems to be changing now that one of my friends has joined ^^

I always check my PM's no matter what I'm doing...it may be important!
